Why i dont like D-Struture

D-structure is an awsom ski store but there employs suck cock.. i dont care if they are really good skiers/rollerbladers or wtv. you go in that store and they dont even say hi... They treated me and my friends like we where just sum main streem posers... I probbibly would of bought a volume 9 or a t0shirt, but when i was looking ayt the vidios(witch are behind glass so u can take one to buy unless u ask) they didnt even see if i wanted to buy one... I donno its a kool store but the employes arent to great

dude i work for seniros, its part of my job to be nice, so i do it no matter how anoyign the 80 year olds get.. they are deeling with fellow skiers shouldnt be to hard to say 'hi' when one walks in, or say 'can i help you'

he's got a point. Customer service is one of the most important structures in any business.

Your front line reperesents the company as a whole and is a main determant in whether customers will return or not.

At a restaurant, even if you have average food and can create a friendly environment IT is what will bring people back.

It plays a big role. In some cases even more important than the product.

You should send in a complaint.

Eat. Sleep. Breathe. Ski.

 
yup, everything is always about customer service. If a place doesn't give me good service, i go somewhere else. I dont care if that means i have to shop out of town or online, it's their loss.

I look at it like this...a store has to convince me to spend my money their because it's almost a guarantee that i can go online and find it for like 10% cheaper...but i like supporting local businesses and i will pay the premium to get the product right away. That doesn't matter if they are cock mongers though.

yeah, i agree with yeti. i can buy my set up (or my dad can actually) for 20% cheaper or whatever online, but its not the same as going in a really talking with someone who knows their shit.

Everyone at D-Structure has always been nice to me and you just can't judge a shop base on one day where the employees didn't have the smile you were looking for...

I'm really sorry you had a bad experience at the shop. We usually make a big effort to greet everyone who comes in and help every customer that needs help.

Lately a lot of changes have been happening and maybe our staff was helping out someone else, I can't say for sure what happen in your situation. I'm positive that if you would ask for help, you would of gotten it. It's a skate/ski shop and we try not to pressure/sell to our customers.

If the videos are behind glass it's because they're on display to showcase them all....

Once again, I'm sorry you saw it that way. I hope next time you come, you'll have a positive experience.

d-structure used to be the best place to buy shit, like last year, they got really publicized a large part do to my, and other ppl's 'endorsments' on NS.com. I believe it is time to bring up a new store into the foray, i'm thinkn the glacier freeride shop in Whistler, for 449, for tm's(CAD), and 1/2 off bindings. D-structure has tm's for 650, and no bindings deals.

Hum personally I love how D-Structure work. They don't rush you to buy something, you just walk in and check whatever you want. If you have a question, these guys KNOW their shit.

I went there 3 times, and each time was the exact same thing: I walk in, a quick view and I see ALL that cool stuff I want, the guy say salut ca va (hi how are you) and there's a good beat playing.

I really don't dress and look like a skier, but they still don't look at me like a poser and they answer all my questions and we had small discussions.

maybe they thought you were just browsing, which a lot of people do, if you had said something and they didn't help you then you can say the store sucks. I think you have your own issues with believing you're a poser heh jks :)

dstructure is a phat place with good people... and you have to take into effect that everyone has bad days and if the dude was grumpy or rude it shouldnt bring you down, just keep doin your thing, btw serge dosent work there anymore, and its a shame

Yeah I've been a couple times at D since its near where I live and the guys there are cool. They dont pressure you to buy any crap and are always fair on the info they give you (not like those other ski shops I know). Never had any problems with the D staff. Is the cute girl still working there ;)

i dont like the whole being nice to people thing when im workin if their ass holes or im in a bad mood, but i work at a fuckin grocery store, i would think you'd be able to deal with bein chill to fellow skiers while workin somewhere like that

I've had a lot of experiences with stores where the staff just treats you like garbage. They ignore you, and when you want help, they may answer your question, but that's it.

I've been to D-Structure a bunch of times, and the service I've received was amazing. Last time I was in there, the guy working talked to us for quite a while, gave us stickers, etc. But I have heard many people with the same experience as you. I guess it depends on the employee.

cko and I went into a shop in Kanata (rs4life knows the one) and we tried to talk to them and stuff, but they totally ignored us. It was horrible. We walked around for maybe 20 minutes and no one even said hi to us. Then I went back a month later to buy shoes, and the sales person made me feel like I was putting her out of her way to get me a pair of shoes.

In the end though, when employees care more about being cool than helping potential customers, they lose.
