Why hate on the one foot

i dont understand why lots of you think it is gay. just because lots of you hate roller blading, but roller blading and skiing are very close alike. one footers give you another trick to do.and there hard besides just goin left, right, or tail or nose. its more variations. and mad people dogged on gangier at the open. but that one footer wasnt that wack, it was something different. plus skis are built spread apart so its obvious that a one footer is something you could be able to do. if you think roller blading is so wack and it has nothing to do with skiing. then start snowboarding becasue skatboarding has nothing to do with skiing.
 
I don't like it because it looks bad. Make it look cool, then sure, I'll like it.
 
I thought charles' one foot at the x games was allright, a little wierd, but not worth the fuss all the kids on here made.
 
i was doing some one foot today it was pretty chill, then some snowboareder was like geta board yo, and im like "get a life"
 
whatever its just progression you can hate all you want but without people goin out and tryin shit like that the sport would never evolve.
 
I think they're pretty cool, kind of like those safety's where you spread your legs apart a little, it looks exactly like that.
 
^ doesnt seem very hard to get good at lifting up one of your feet.. too much talking about this crap. so im going to stop right here.
 
i understand that we are influinced by rollerblading, but one-footed slides is taking it too far
 
everyone is crying saying its gay cause its really hard. well poop on you haters, who try and be someone their not, theres only one tanner.
 
They can look cool to an extent...I actually enjoy 270 fast slides quite a bit...but I just think, if you don't like them...don't do them, and then everyone is happy.
 
Pep did indeed say it best... However, I think DC's and Colby's 5050s look good. From my perspective, as with anything else, if you can make the trick look good, then it's a good trick. Charle does not, or has never as far as I've seen, made a 1 footer look good. Ever. Neither can just about anyone else.
 
i havent decided if i like them or not. ive seen some that look really bad, and didnt like them at first. gagniers looked okay tho, and i saw someone do one wth a safety on the lfted foot, but it looked smooth, not all spastic, so i dont kno. depends on the skier.

without rollerblading skiing wouldnt be where its is today, at least rail wise. look at all the rail masters-ianick, crighton and gagnier-they all rollerblade.i dont care if you think one footers are gay. just dont do them, or keep doing them until you find a way to make them look good.
 
Thats super tech. Not just one-footed, but almost a critical grab. Awesome trick. Looks to be on a battleship rail too.
 
why do you all have to hate on rollerblading, its the exact same thing as skiing. there is almost no difference.

and one footed grinds look sooo sick if they are done right.

 
I think the hate is more towards 5050 one footers. Perpendicular sliding one foot isnt that bad, sometimes I do it, but only when i fuck up and have to do it to stay balance, but if someone was doing it on purpose I wouldnt hate.

But one footer 5050s are kinda gay. I do them when I'm fucking around trying to look as dumb as I can on boxes(I dont have the balls to do them on rails, so i understand that they are tech, but just cause its tech doesnt mean its cool.)

Though no one should hate on anything in skiing.
 
its like no poles. done by with style, it looks fucking tec as (see pic above).

but, done by most, it looks gay as hell.
 
i think they are kinda sick with a grab. but with a grab... thats a rollerblading trick so god forbid.
 
i was about to say i dont like it cus it doesnt look good. but then i saw that picture and it was sick so i got nothing now. im still gonna say i dont like it. i just have no reason for that.
 
if he'd made a new thread, you would have said something along the lines of:
