in europe we always whine about how lame the snowparks are etc... i mean expect les 2 alpes and avoriaz most snow parks are realy lame.

you know how american and canadian big ski resort have their own park updates on ns with sick vids ?

i show you the meribel 's park update.

just that you know it has been elected in one of the best french snowpark by a snowboarding and a skiing magazine.

for your knowledge meribel is the largest resort in the world in terms of slopes, with more than 400 miles of slopes.

last time i checked candide was from france, i dont think hes 25 years behind everyone else

and really, if i had natural terrain like they have out there i doubt i would ride park very much
 
dont bitch about having shitty jumps and rails when you have way more snow and cliffs and trees than the east coast has. the reason they dont care about rails and jumps is because their is natural shit to enjoy way more than a stupid park jump will let you. and go slide urban if you want rails. i dont feel bad for you, and you are not 25 years behind the US. i promise you that.
 
candide and lolo favre come frome la clusaz and there is a smal ridiculous snowpark at la clusaz, so  we don't need sick snowpark to have sick riders. if you want to be a good freestyler you have to be a good skier that's all.

and the new king of style is a french!!!
 
Ill be skiing France this season, all I need is a few park days to get a few new tricks and then its off to ski powder. All the French are sooo insanely good a booters and pow skiing. I was just watching Richard Permins video for this season and they all killed jumps but the rail skills were lacking. So in that sense yes, but they kill jumps. I do want to hit urbans though!!
 
i ahvent looked at the vids.  but lemme just start off by saying you are an idiot.  france/switzerland.austria/ europe.  best skiing in the world. best backcountry and powder and big mountains..  some of the skiers outta there are crazy.  and you must have enver skied over there.  cause i lived in switzerland.. and skied many places.. and the parks were sick. and plentiful, and way better kept than where im at now.

most french parks don't compare to north american ones, and that's for the reason many have already said: the life accessible terrain here is insane. and that's freestyle anyway, not freeskiing.

the parks are getting better though... plenty of good ones to be found, specifically the ones you mention. you could film the gaper vid at any resort in north america, it doesn't say much.... meribel is the epitome of gaper skiing... drive an hour away to the val d'isere park and get north american calibre.

This site is not related to the park at all, it is a base for people to upload their own stuff while they were skiing in Meribel.

The Moonpark crew are a sick bunch of guys who put the best out there with their given budget and time.

Europe is lagging behind N.America there is no doubt there, but we have some real sick spots and a lot more money is being invested in our parks every year.

Just quit being a cock smoker.
 
ok maybe the title was a bit abusive. but i ve been there many times and the park is not always in great shape. but no doubt there are sick riders there i saw them
 
if you think that that video sums up french skiing then you have another thing coming,

the moonpark is fairly low so slushes up fairly quick however it is a pretty sick park in the right conditions.

candide, lolo etc 25 years behind... mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

all in all completely and utterly incorrect

The guy must think that everyone in US skis like Tom Wallisch... The usual user of a ski resort is not a member of newschoolers you know? there are gapers everywhere, NSers only somewhere sometimes
 
Dude, dont gauge it on parks, gauge it on the riders, I have ridden merible and the terrain is sick, you have skiers going off the hook all over the place. Simply look at "Magic in Motion". I would assume that if you are riding merible and the three valleys that you would know who they are and what they do. They are taking skiing in the right direction with their entire set up.
