Why, exactly, do we want skiing to grow?

yah I kinda miss the good ol' days when having 'twintips' was different, now every body has them.

I certanly hope skiing never becomes as trendy as snowboarding, though it seems to be headed in that direction. ahh well whatever.

dont be afraid of growth. growth in the industry will offer more opportunities, including new mountains to ride at.

i could write a paper on this, but im really too lazy.

i like skiing small, thats what i like about it, sure i want it to grow, but if it were as big as snowboarding i dont know...but anyway its all about fun thats why i do it.

As long as you can ski circles around anyone who "looks down on you", what do you care? If people assosciate skiing as gay, who cares, go ski and have fun with your 'enlightened' buddy's because that's what its all about.

More R+D is a good thing I think, and putting more people on twins is not a bad thing. There are always going to be assholes, whether they are on twins or not. So let them be assholes, ski circles around them, and reap the benefits of getting better skis.

You can still keep a core vibe among your buddys/crew, let the kids who don't do shit on their $500 twins. No, actually, shake their hand because they are pumping money into the sport, and they aren't standing in front of you waiting to drop in the park. That's nice.

i hope that skiing progresses but the amount of people stays about the same. I dont want there to be more people skiing, its sweet how it is.

i kinda like it the way it is. im not really concerned with how many people know what i do for fun, as long as it continues to be fun.

I live in the coolest town with a huge skatepark, mountain biking, and im 15 minutes from a great mountain. all the locals just tell everytone it sucks so one moves here. maybe just try that.
