Why don't they make a real ski game?

every ski or snowboard game is so fake. first of all, why don't they make it first person or atleast have a better angle on the skier, not so far out. and when the skier flips or spins why does the camera stay in one place. it would be so much cooler to see what the rider does cause thats how it is skiing. Also, the mountain seems so small. the slopes are more like race courses. When you ski it seems more like your floating and when you go of jumps you float for ever. your body has no weight. you can ollie like 10 ft, in the air. Every grind gets locked down perfectly and you rarly fall. The rider also goes way fast even on a flat slope.

it just seems that these games are not like skiing at all
 
I think most ski games are played mostly by people who don't have a ton of passion for skiing. Super realistic games probly wouldn't be as fun for them as they would be for us.
 
Because then it wouldn't appeal to the 10 year old kids who beg their parents to buy these games and represent 50% of the market.
 
dood, jibberish is so real. backflips off the ground? definately!

if you want a game so bad, get alot of reasons and email ea sports or activision or something and pitch your idea
 
you know what we should do? i bet that if we got everyone on the website to sign an e petition to build a game that has realistic graphics and laws of physics, with good tricks, and real pro skiiers, then sent it to the big game companies, someone would see the demand and make it!

 
I think we already tried that hahah! But it's sure worth another try. Someone should make a petition thread and have a mod sticky it.
 
been posted many times and here the bottom line. People don't think that Skiing is Hardcore and theres no point. Its gay...very gay
 
there wouldnt be enough people who would enjoy playing it outside the skiing community so its seen as a waste of time and money i sappose.
 
well i only know 3 ski games.

-jibberish: yea its unrealistic but its free. what do you expect.

-ssx: they didn't try to make it realistic or they dont know anything about skiing.

-freak out: looks sick but havent played it.

its expensive and difficult to make games. but yea. send a letter.
 
theres alot of people with multiple accounts though

needs something different to a thread, something like a questionare box or something that can only be clicked once and only once by each IP address or something so thats its actually a legit 'petition' prob the best idea would be to send it off to the amped creators and lobby them to include a bunch of skiers in the next installment of amped. its already a dope game and has all of the graphics, courses physics etc sorted. it would still be a lot of work to add skiers but it would probably be easer than developing a whole new game.

also the number of skiers that would play it are probably relatively low, like even if there are 10,000 prople on NS and if everyone on here bought the game in terms of video game sales that is probably pretty low.

I think that sking isnt seen in the public eye as being as cool as snowboarding. which is why games like amped work - people think snowboarding is cool so they play it even if they've never been near the snow. as this perception changes perhaps some dope ski games will be developed.
