Why don't more outerwear companies do this?

i used to have a pair of siver pants that had two straps on the interior of each lower leg that you could pull up and snap to the outside of the pants, thereby creating instant highwaters that didn't get stepped on once you were in the parking lot getting back to the car. such a good idea that would save the cuffs on many a pair of ski pants.

did siver have some kind of patent on this or do most outerwear companies just want you to replace your pants instead of being able to keep a pair you like?

or, roll them up and use the elastics on the gaiters to keep them up. It's built into pretty much every pant, doesn't fuck with the design, and is cheaper to produce because they're not adding questionable features.

Siver did a great job with that design, I like to call it the "bar feature" so whe you are apre at the bar you don't step on them. coloradofreeskier.com has some of those pants left if you want to check it out

yeah that was sick. I just roll my pants up and use the built in elastic gaiters to hold them in place. Ha its not to steezy, but neither were the highwaters.

i have one of this years siver suits (06-07) and it has that. really sick. i was so stoked when i found out about them

thats exactly what i do. i think it looks fine. i couldn't care less that people who can barely ski are looking at me funny. i get comments about my pulled up pants all the time when i don't change for work after i'm done skiing. people seem receptive to the idea. at least the ones with baggy pants

i just roll up my pants with the elastic

it was to hard to find the button in your pant and when you hooked it up it always unhooked

because siver was the only company that didn't give people enough credit to be able to figure how to roll up their pant legs

I rock some XL Fate pants and I can't use the gaiters to hold them up. They're still drag. There is a velcro cuff on the bottom of the pant though, that if I make it as tight at it goes my pants won't drag at all, even with shoes. It's like half an inch off the ground and perfect.
