Why don't more girls ski newschool?

Most girls that are getting into snow sports just think snowboarding is cooler. Thats really the biggest problem. I've been trying to get my girlfriend to ski (she's never done either), but she just sees her friend that snowboards and wants to do that. She tells me that it seems cooler bacuse shes heard of guys like Shaun White. Girls that dont know about newschool skiing simply seem to be ignorant and think skiing is just like gapers. Snowboarding has become known by non skiiers or snowboarders as the much cooler sport.
 
all the girls at my school that haven't skied or snowboarded are alwas like i wanna snow board sometime and i'm always like y??? they just say its way cooler then skiing and if your a skiier your a geek so it kinda pisses me off. Ya but anytime i see a girl skiing in a park and them actualy tryin stuff even if they don't land it is aswome to see
 
I agree completely thats exactly how the girls are around me, my girlfriend included. Its bullshit because they are just being ignorant and don't take the time to listen to you when you tell them what you and newschool skiing is all about. They automatically think that snowboarding is the much cooler sport because it has become more mainstream than newschool skiing has. But girl skiers in the park rip man, I love it.
 
i'm pretty sure most girls dont ski because they're afraid of getting hurt. most girls i know that's why at least they think im out of my mind but this is my first year and i cant get enough. if i get hurt then its just something cool to show everyone!
 
yeuhhh. on a normal weekend im the only girl freeskiier skiing with tons of guys. theres rarely ever a good girl, or even a girl in the park why dont more girls do it?
 
HAHAHAHAHAHA one of the better things i have heard. but yeah i dont know girls that do though are so baller. and its way cooler to see a girl who skis kill it than on a board. imo
 
Theres way too many girls around here that fit the stereotypical prissy girl mold pretty well. But those girls don't really do anything, ever. And a lot of them snowboard. But a lot of girls are super afraid to start anything in the park, because when they fall they feel stupid and don't want to get back up to try it again. I've fallen pretty hard and eaten shit, but when you get back up and kinda brush it off it makes you feel a lot better that your not as wimpy as you could be. But yes, I do in fact like to wear my hair cute and have my nails manicured. They are pink right now
 
girls who ski park are so hot! haha! dont know why girl dont do it.. i know maybe 7 girls who actually ski park.. and my girlfriend does park and isnt bad..but she snowboards.. whole different story..
 
You might say girls are gay, but then you just slash all your chances at ever getting one yourself. Lift us up, dont put us down.
 
i think more girls dont ski because, as mentioned, all they wanna do is be as popular and cool as possible, so they automatically start snowboarding because people view it as cooler than skiing. At my hill, there are perhaps 6 girls over the age of 12 who ski, and its all freestyle....other than that, all i see are girls all decked out in the most fashionable skate and snowboard clothing, falling on their asses trying to butterfly their way down the hill on their snowboards...then they sit in the lodge for several hours at a time putting on makeup while trying to impress a bunch of thug snowboarders.
 
i HATE girls like that. more girls should just learn to fuck what people think and do what they wanna do. plus skiings way better. im pretty much ALWAYS skiing with only guys and all the girls who i do ski with are racers
 
haha, i love it when you're riding with someone who thinks skiing isn't cool , and teh whole day you're going bigger than any of the snowboarders.

there was this girl at windells this past 7 session. she was so good. she throwing down big spins off jumps. i think the biggest spin she did was a 720. and she grabed her spins a lot. on rails she was throwing frontside 450s out. so sick.
