Why Don't I Find Misogyny Appealing?

I read a lot of posts on NS, and I'm often surprised to see that none of us 'Bros' care about girls for anything other than sex and sandwiches. While I do enjoy both of those things, I believe that women bring a lot more to the table. Surely, we on NS can't be so naive as to believe that women are only worth two things. That's similar to saying that men are only worth money and sports. Although this site seems to promote that ideology, it's pretty hard to seriously agree with this oversimplification. In this day in age, I'd like to see a little more consideration of the complex roles of both men AND women in society. Anyone with me?

I appreciate your insight into post-modern NS theory. While your premise is sound, your execution and thesis is incorrect. Yes, NS "bashes" women absolutely and completely. On the surface it would appear that NS is a bastion of anti-feminism. In rebuttal, I refer you to Episode 1, Season 12, South Park - Tonsil Trouble. In this fascinating modern look into HIV and AIDS, humor and satire are used to examine AIDS through a modern lens. In the end, we realize that AIDS has become accepted - is finally funny.

This same examination of the NS anti-feminism movement reveals a parallell. Because the bashing of women on NS is so well tolerated, and always so funny, it means that we have accepted feminism and the feminist movement. It is accepted, it is tolerated, and now jokes pertaining to it are funny. As in South Park, when something is finally funny, we as a society know that we have moved past it. In this light I put it to you: Feminism and women's rights are accepted and a non-issue within the NS community. Our humor and "bashing" are the concrete proof that we are progressive, equal, and tolerant. NS is a haven for women's rights.
 
Moderately disturbing. I hope it is in a platonic sense, as one comes to love a movement, an idea, an ideal, or a system of beliefs. Perhaps you love me in the way you love freedom of speech, freedom of religion, and the candy isle at WalMart.
 
The reading voice in my head spoke in an English accent as I read this, well done.

...and this misogyny is prevalent because these misogynists are a) 14 and younger, and b) on the internet where no one (almost no one) cares.
 
It's great your standing up for the girls of new schooler, but I don't think any of them take the misogyny that seriously, at least I know I do not.
