the chrichtster is ill, he needs a pro model. his style is top notch, he nails doewn the footage quick, and he seems like he has personality - something that both pep and seth have. why isn't dynastar giving him one, what does dion have that chrichton doesn't?

i don't think he has the best comp. results and i think it wouldn't be right to give 2 phils a promodel plus dion isn't bad check his segment in sterotype.

chrichton is ill, but he has not been with dynastar as long as belanger and larose. It is about time those two got a pro model.

 
yeah i think plenty of skiers deserve pro models, i don't think that armada is going to or needs to be handing out pro models - armada is a representation of an elite group of steezed progressive skiers. but i think that its really good marketing - good for business as well as good for consumers. having a pro model is says a lot about what skier you love and what style you think they is ill (yeah you primarily buy the ski for its abilities). skis are in some ways are very expensive basketball jerseys - but worth every penny.

i think line is doing things the wrong way in that they give a bunch of skiers pro models...what does that accomplish?

i think a company should have one pro model out for each type of skiing max. line has pollard and skogen pros, and those two ski the same way, its not like one is park and the other is big mtn or anything.

k2 is doing pro models the right way...one for park, one for big mtn...

well, Forum has like 5 pro-model snowboards, and they seem to be doing pretty well... i don't see why ski companies shouldn't do pro models if they want to. It seems to be the way things are going these days anyway... D'Star has their 3 pro-models, Salomon has 2 coming out, K2 has 2 now, Line has 3, 4FRNT will have 2 next year. Pretty much every company besides Armada and Rossi are doing the pro-model thing... its just good marketing.

isnt armada gonna hav 'designed by ___' skis instead of pro models? i think that ideas a lot cooler anyway. keeps skis from looking all the same

 
chrichton's real good and all, but he's fairly new and isn't quite established enough for a pro model. and supposedly armada is going to have a t hall pro next year but i havent heard anything about it in a while.

oh yeah the whole pro model thing is getting kinda crazy. but hey some of them deserve it. morrison definately deserved his. but there are others i think deserve them more than some of the guys getting them now. oh well we don't make the skis, and most of us don't throw down like the pros do, so who are we to talk.

you cant compare forum having 5 pro models to line having 3...id be willing to bet forum sells 25 snowboards for every 1 ski that line sells.

there just isnt a market for them to be giving 3 members of their pro team pro models that basically are made for the same type of skiing.

if you don't know mike nick personally then shut the fuck up. he's a cool guy and its ridiculous how he gets this shitty complex from all you little bitches because he used to skiboard. he still throws down and he's an old man, and he also helps the sport out daily.

also he does have a pro for next year. its a size 180 and a new graphic. some crazy ass guy (kinda like that thing from lord of the rings) in a tree

a skier should only get a pro model when they have done something special and been around long enough to establish themselves. skiers such as morrison and McConkey deserve promodels. The phils deserve theres they were there from the beginning. Also dorion and cusson deserved theres when they were out. Pep is one of the few that deserves a pro model and hasnt been around that long. Other that can qualify for a pro model are mikael and auclair.

 
Why hasn't Mike Douglas gotten one, he's done a hell of a lot more for the sport than the 3 phils.

since auclair and cusson left salomon theyve kinda made the pocket rocket the mike douglas ski. and also kind of the 1080 because hes the captain of the 1080 team

 
I've shot some of the sickest rails that have ever been done with the best jibbers in the world, and Crichton is nothing but top notch. Amazing style, unparalleled technical skills, and he goes after some of the most insane and creative rails and jibs out there, and stomps them.

I'm not critizing Chricton. In fact he is one of my favorites but I think some people would deserve a pro model way before Chricton does. Guys like Cusson, Auclair, Philou, Douglas...

Man pro models are where its at. Its giving more of the sport tot he athelete. They are desiging the ski the way they want it. Look at the fujative its fucken sick and pep had input on everything for it. With promodels comes more freeride specific skis. Better park skis and better big mountain skis. Look at skate decks. its all promodel, the graphic is selected by the pro and the concave and flex of the board is determined by the pro. In the end it can and usually is a better board then your average blank deck. Its all about pro models and chrichton dosent deserve shit.

i dunno why but i think that he should and shouldnt cuz he doesnt have that much excperiance in comps or just skisng he not as guru as the phils or T JP JF. BUT he is a great skier at rails and is creative plus kills urban rails and go huge of jumps.
