why doesn't msp have jon?

ya he should be in their movies insteead of the collins brothers or shawn sullivan. but i don't really care because i don't buy msp

 
Shawn Sullivan is good man, and so is MSP. I liked Ski Movie 3 far more than Happy Dayz which was quite boring.

are you kidding?? big mountain is the most boring thing i've ever watched. Sure, its sick and all, and yes, i would love to go do it right now and they're wiked good and stuff, but it's seriously so incredibly boring to watch. unless they're hucking off every cliff w/ style. just skiing in the bc kills me. its for fast forwarding.

 
As much as I love bc skiing I gotta go with LiveSkiorDie720 and say that it is pretty boring to watch, especially if the back music blows ass...

I think SM3 overdid it with the whole teeter-totter rail thing, twice was more than enuf of that rail. I skip past that rail thing all the time. I think that in happy dayz they coulda used a little more big lines, but I was happy that there was no snowmobiling. A short little slip every once in a while is ok but a whole segment for quinlan is not someting I care to watch when 'm watching skiing.

Yeah, why do ski movies always have like cross sport segments? Like snowboarding/blading/mobiling and what-not.

If I buy a ski movie and take the time to watch it (over and over again) than I wanna see some god damn skiing!

tanner, cr, vinnie, mike d, and pep all had amazing segments in SM3 and then morrison who is a god

i thought the ice cap segement was cool, it was something origional ya know

to make SM3 better they shoulda cut quinlan except for maybe like 2 clips, cut all but two clips of the teeter-totter rail, and cut some of morrison's clips cause soo many clips are soo similar. lincoln 30 foot, lincoln 40foot, lincoln 40foot get real, seen it once, show me something different.

Big mountain is some of the sickest stuff, but some segments of it got kind of borin, despite the fact that those riders have my upmost respect and i only can dream about lines like those, but i think they did a good job uttin back on it compared to sm2

ok the whole thing about big mountain skiing is that it is boring if u introduce like msp does but u watch a movie like immersion i didnt get bored at all watch the movie and youll know what im talking about

jon is swedish, which doesnt attract the msp filmers as much. I cant stand Seth Morrisons segments. They are just so boring to me. He does insane things but it doesnt interest me much after 1 or 2 times watching it

what they should have cut was brad holmes section. i like msp, and i actually like to watch big mountain, every once in a while. i usually fast forward through big mountain when i watch a video, but i still enjoy watching it, but not where it gets redundant

Thats why cr's parts are so great, He mixes it up with tricks in big mountain and park. Also I think there is a bit to much footage of above treeline pow. Let's see some tree skiing powder, thats where it gets reeaally deep. I don't like watching big mountain turs that are chin deep. SM2 boars me with that. I've never seen or gotten a TGR film but I think I'll get High Life instead of Focused. Do you think thats a good Idea?

The reason MSP does not have Jon Ollson has nothing to do with him being swedish. if you look at the movie. there is stian hagen and some other europeans. Ppl want to work with Jon, because everyone says he's a quality guy, who can ski better than 99.999999% of the world (100% in my opinion).

Jon skis primarily with PBP, except for a ocuple shots in other videos. Just like seth never really shoots with anyone other than MSP.

Man, this is exactly what is wrong with skiing today. People are more interested in watching jumps than actual skiing. I was sitting in my bed this morning thinking about how Nicky Adams could be a pro skier without knowing how to turn. Before you freak, Nicky is a friend of my family, and he is actually a skater with little interest in skiing, rollerblading, or snowblading, except for the money. It pisses me off to no end that kids jump into skiing only to be park rats. What is going to separate from the rollerbladers now? If you're going to ski the park, at least learn to ski everything else. Otherwise, my big mountain friends and I are going to have to kick your poseur asses. Quit dressing up and talking like your Tanner fuckin' Hall.

While I love to ski everything a mountain has to offer I just prefer to see only park stuff in a newschool movie. leave the big lines, cliff drops, and no fall zones to warren miller or movies of his type.

It's kinda weird to me that you all hate watching big mountain so much. I think it's awesome to watch when they're hitting that super steep shit and everything.

big mountain secens are all the same they dont differ that much that it why it is so boring, yeah the first couple times thru its cool but then it just gets boring. i have prolly watched happy dayz like over 200 times but i have only watch sm3 like 15 times.

 
Jon Ollson does have a scene or two in SM3 he's in the other rider section, but he is not listed on the DVD box, intro. I'm not sure if he's listed in the credits.

The reason Jon isn't in MSP, all comes down to sponsorship. Movie Companies like MSP, Poor Boyz and TGR largley only use a rider who had a sponsor who sponsors their Movie as well. What it boils down to is money. Head along with Oakley have chosen to Sponsor (Pay) Poor Boyz for Jon's segment every year, not MSP. He gets a couple shots in the credits of the MSP flick cause he's sick, but the bottom line is, his sponsors don't pay MSP for a segment which means he doesn't get one.

Man, i couldnt read this whole thread, to damn long and too much damn wineing, the guys at the top whining about big mt shit being boring to watch need to suck it up, and the snowmobiling is rad, just like skiing, if they show a little bit of it in there video its good. It lets us know we arent the only rad sports out there, so we dont get full of ourselves like snowboarders did.
