Why the fuck does line have no decent riders at the moment...wtf is with that!? The original rider owned freestyle company and no decent riders representing at the x games...lame

X is not all that defines a rider. Pollard never competes and he is possibly one of the best skiers that has ever lived. and dash neva competes but he is sooo dope

 
Hey, im the 1st person to agree that line has had some sick riders. Pollard is one of the best in the world, no doubt. But I think that comps play a massive part in advertising skis and its just a shame that line doesnt have anyone plugging their new skis at the games.

^Also can you please explain to me how competitions 'hold back the progression of the sport'? Would be interesting to hear cos personally i dont see it...

 
when freeze interviewed him he said that people are too focused on winning so they do runs that they know they will not fall on and that does not move the sport foreward, not my ideas his

those who can compete at the highest levela re the ones that gain my respect. people like pollard who claim comps are holding the sport back obviously cant live up to the pressure of competition

Mmm-Line---don't believe the hype and many of the riders you see this year, won't be there next year. The company sucks - most of their gear is shitty, and, umm, Jlev ain't nuthin' but a piece of crap. How do I know - cuz I do (having worked for the dumb bastard for 2 years-as a rider and a rep) spreading crap around so people would buy the skis. Now I feel bad. Most of them you can break in half with your hands. If you really want to ride Line, go with the Chronics, MTX pros, or Pollards. The rest are shit.Oh, and if you order a pair and want the bindings with them, you have a 50/50 chance of actually getting a pair of skis with the predrilled holes b/c -wooops-Line made a manufacturing mistake! And if you got a refund due to this problem -mad props. Thank god I don't work for them anymore.

Dude fuck the riders we all know that Line makes the best NewSchool skis, soo who gives a shit about whose riding them. They are sick and just leave it at that!!

 
Plus who gives a crap about the x-games they are poorly televised (they only show the big names) and the announcers are always morons. And line has mad riders that own.

 
bibby is a pretty sick skier. pollard doesnt like to compete because he barely spins anything over a 5 in his movie segs, but he does them smoothly and in varying conditions or off of original jumps. all the same, his stock tricks would not score well in a comp. i would argue that comps do progress things, if people are willing to step up.

Anybody remember Pete Mithoefer, Reg Pare, Carter Griffen, Luke Manley? They were sponsored by line when they were mainly into skiboards. Whatever happened to those guys?

Probably working in a meat packing plant somewhere.

 
I def agree, nick and sprang are both getting REAL old fast, pollard is good, dash is boring and always does 3's. They need some more people that will be eident at the big comps and a REAL competition skier. Bibby is a step in the right direction.

i think you're mostly fucking MORONS and nearly all of you totally miss the point ie. that, as pollard and the dude higher up said, competitions are NOT progressing skiing because competitors do tricks and runs which they are certain they can stomp

line hasnt really gone downhill, they just havnt improved since they started. their skis are good for park and thats about it, and their team is lacking a solid core of pros. skogen and nick are getting kinda old, and pollard became a hippie. theyre all really good skiers, dont get me wrong, but skiers like coker and bibby are definitely the way to go. i think line just really hasnt stepped it up, and armada pretty much took over and accomplished what line wanted to do. well thats a nice long ramble, maybe someone can make some sense of it.

 
No one wants to ride for line cause those reactors are the worst bindings ever made. You turn and your skis ping off even set on like 12. No pros want to blow thier knees. Salomons Suck too. Sammy would have won the at the open if his salomons didnt ping off. YUK!

Pollard is sick as hell. He took skiing in his own direction. Seth Morrison Can't compete in X. Obviously he is not a good pro on K2. Jesus Christ Come one People. Pollard Segments are some of the greatest. And 900 to Pow in Happy Happy. He can spin, he just doesn't

Eric Pollard has likely the best pure style of any skiier that ever lived and comps are not the type of skiing he does but that does not take away from his amazing ability

 
Yeah, I agree a rider doesn't have to show up at X in order to be a good skiier, but if line wants to market their shit, especially the reactor, they really should get some of those guys there just to get some mainstream exposure.
