Why does'nt anyone use a ladder down ramp?

Right, I tried this the other day. Simply got our aluminium ladder, lent it against the war, climbed up and shot down. Now I was thinking if you covered the ladder with a tarp you would have a seriously cheap, seriously quick drop in ramp. Plus everyone has probs got a ladder already. Is this not a seriously good idea or am I missing something?

i tried it once just messing around, it slides good but you have no control at all and if its crooked you just slide off

if your looking for somthing cheap though i guess it works good

i use a wooden ladder, and it works fine but u just need like turf at the end so to get some control. haven't tried a metal ladder...does it fuck up ur skis?
