the protests (i haven't seen much about riots in a while..?) are outdoors and masked
a trump rally is a close-quarters indoors event where people who proudly don't wear masks yell and laugh and breathe in each other's faces. that's not taking place like almost anywhere else right now, esp not for some flop of a political rally
also OP it seems like you live in a very specific corner of the internet so maybe you don't know but the US public supports the protests and it isn't even close, it's like 70% support

The fact that the protests are outside and people wear masks makes a big difference. But nobody is denying that the protests are going to spread covid but look at the reason behind the protests vs trumps rallys.
One is to stand up for hundreds of year of racial injustice and the other is so the orange toddler can abuse his power for 4 more years.

I know you won't actually take my response seriously, but I'll give it a crack anyway in hopes to get through.
People in poverty commit more crimes because of the way society is structured, and the history of systematic racism only makes it worse for POC. Their communities, social programs, and education, are usually severely underfunded. They're more likely to not be able to afford college tuition. They often have a tough enough time just putting food on the table, let alone paying for education. If you have no education, it's increasingly difficult to get a job in today's society. If you can't get a job, how else do you put food on the table? If they do have a job, they work 50+ hours a week just to pay rent and put food on the table.
