just wonder cause its like skiing you can do all the spins and flips yada yada yada

so why do so many people hate it?

yeah i didnt see any style, just a bunch of guys doing as much random crap as they can as fast as they can with their arms all over the place. and that second video was just gay with the hardcore song and editing, it just made rollerblading look all serious and the opposite of fun. i think thats part of the reason people hate rollerblading so much, they try to be so epic, do the craziest trick they can and be all badass and it just doesnt look like fun. i dont think ive ever seen a rollerblading video with a happy, fun, non serious vibe. i have a friend who rollerblades, and i admit that he actually has sick style, he doesnt try to hop around as much as he possibly can, he just relaxes and has fun with it, and i actually think its cool. but 99% of the rollerbladers i see just make me never want to do it.

oviously if it wasnt fun they wouldnt do it go to youtude and check chris haffey all his edits are chill

okay stevie wonder. I dont blade at all and I completey recognize style in that, look at their feet when they grind. and I cant take anything you say seriously with that name

you will never be able to convince the haters that inline is cool. im guessing you get most of the hate from skateboarders. what ive come to realize over the years is that for the most part the ones that suck are very vocal about their hate for inline, and the ones who can actually rip couldnt care less and are usually pretty chill. stop worrying so much about it and just get out and ride what you love to ride.

wow dude, im sorry i dont completely love rollerblading, its not really the rollerblading i dont like, its the vibe and most the people that do it. like i think rollerblading could be pretty damn cool if they would just relax and have fun, and stop trying to be the biggest badass they can, and stop doing the most technical trick they can think of. rollerblading how it is now is an extremely technical sport, and thats what i dont like. if people would just calm down and focus more on being smooth and creative, i would like it alot more, and im sure everyone else would too.
i dont play team sports for a reason, cause they are too serious, and its all about winning, being the best, and trying your hardest 100% of the time. and rollerblading reminds me of that. i just like to relax and have fun.

i dont understand why so many rollerbladers seem to think skateboarders hate rollerbladers so much. i find this more often the case. all the skateboarders i know really dont give a shit. we'll most in ottawa that i know anyways. i saw some rollerblading video on youtube once. and it was a bunch of bladers talking shit about how skateboarders were gunna come and hate on the video. but then again thats fucking youtube. ya'll act a little strange sometimes haha. but i dont gotta problem at all with rollerblading.

yeah there we go, there was tons of creativity, and actually pretty good style on some stuff. still the vid was a little too serious for me, especially for such creative stuff. you know they were having a shit load of fun making that video, and it just doesnt make sense to me not to reflect that. im not only hating on rollerblading, skiing and some snowboard videos can have pretty serious shitty vibes too, mabye its just me cause it seems to bother me more than most other people.
and yeah i may be generalizing, but its hard not to. most the people ive seen at the skatepark who blade, are those white kids with the huge jinco (sp?) jeans, a tank top or something with pins and shit all over it, and like blue gelled hair with headphones on and a nose ring. and im serious, thats like 70% of the blading population around here. they are all serious and getting mad at everything, yelling at other people and shit, you can probably see why thats no appealing to me.
yet there are some awesome rollerbladers that ive met with an awesome attitude, and its way fun to watch. and my friend who rollerblades that i was talking about, i didnt know him before, i met him at the skatepark and had a super cool attitude, and such a sick style, like he just cruises around the park all relaxed, like he hardly bends his knees and everything looks so effortless, and he just goofs around on everything, like just goofs off all the time. and that type of shit is appealing to me, like stuff like that actually makes me want to rollerblade. i just cant stand all of those serious kids with a crappy attitude, and i think thats what kinda turns me away, i just dont wanna be a part of that at all.
im not saying thats how every blader is, thats just what most are like around here.
so im saying rollerblading can be very sick, but most the stuff i see, especially around here, just doesnt look like fun.
like watch the thanks brain snowboarding video, thats the kinda attutude i like to see.

i love how every rollerblading hate thread turns into a post a video of sick rollerblading haha

tell me those misty 5's aren't nuts or stylish.

i rollerblade and yeah.. i kinda agree with you that the vibes i get from most rollers give off super serious "gotta land this fuckin trick or i'm gonna fuckin blow my fuckin head off" vibes.

but i personally along with the guys i grew up with go for a more laid back attitude of just having fun dickin around..

this is the best edit i can find to express what i'm sayin

I don't hate rollerblading but I don't plan on getting into it. it's not a sport I really like. but there's a difference between being uninterested in the sport but liking the people, and hating everything.. if you catch my drift

also, just a stupid little fashion comment (if you knew me you would know how ironic that is), but it looks funny when they have really baggy pants and they're rollerblading. just my opinion

rollerblading is awesome but i respect really good skateboarders more that shit is sooo fuckin hard. now for everyday shit when u go to a skate park the bladders kill it way harder. skateboarding has like 50 baaaggillion noobs that just skate to say they skate. rollerblading seems to be more core.

the only reason people hate on rollerblading is cause they heard someone else hate on it... they dont see it very much so they tend to poke fun at it as well for acceptance amongst their comrads... this fuels the rollerblade hate within the skatepark community...

its almost trendy to call someone a fruitbooter...

i think its funny tho when skiers hate on it cause skiing isnt that "cool" either guys.... many people think skiing looks gay and has no style etc....

let people do what they wanna fuckin do and get over it...
