Why do we talk about skiing you ask?
Skiing is freedom. Not freedom from working, although some people believe skibums don't work, but we work damn hard. Skiing freedom to us is that release from all the problems that haunt the backs of our minds, and the aches of our bodies. There is no painful memories when you are skiing. There is no worries about the future when you are skiing. All that matters in that moment is just you, and your own God given abilities to relax and enjoy his Gift called 'Earth', while you are skiing. It gives your soul a chance to take deap breath and remind you that your soul exists within you.
Discriptive words do not give skiing justice actually. Some come close, but words in mags or on the net still leave us yearning for skiing. Mags/vids can never satisfy that hunger. It's like trying to stop a headache by purchasing TGR flick. Shit it may get you bye for alittle while, maybe longer if you watch it many times over if you are buzzed. But the one and only thing that is the cure is skiing.
Skiing has been known to cure one bad assed motherfucker hangover on a big dump powderday.
Skiing has been known to cure that nasty ass cold you may have gotten from the flight to some mountain that will fill your dreams and memories as soon as your jets wheels touch the ground.
Skiing has brought couples together so they can spend a life sharing and fulfilling their dreams.
Skiing has brought life long friendships to people that would do anything for each other.
Skiing has brought Fathers and sons, Mothers and daughters together when each has felt lost with no way to speak to one another.
Skiing has helped a friend with Cancer fight the good fight. It gave him the will to fight that Grim Reaper and beat it.
Dreams of skiing helped one sad assed Marine sac up, and push it hard to get out of that hospital bed. Then get on with life.
Finally. Skiing is: Blood, Breath, Humility, Respect, Love, Vibe, Pain, Electric, Sadness, Euphoria, Sex, Brotherhood, Sisterhood, Religion, Pagonism (Ullr), Patriotism, Mom, Dad, Grandparents, Siblings, History, Future, Soul, and Peace
