Why does 4bi9 and tanner hall and ashley battersby ski at Park City?

salt lake is the grossest town i have ever had the misfortune of flying to, landing, and then flying over. its smog filled and the "great" salt lake looks like a pile of shit from the air. but Park City is the best damn resort ive ever had the fortune of drivin to, skiing, and driving away from.
 
Because Park City now has June Mountains park manager. He builds the smoothest jumps out from what I hear, so fuck yeah everyone is at PC.
 
i can tell you havent been many places.

slc is one of the cleanest cities ive been to. and the smog is inversion, look it up.
 
Whistler gets a solid park? I think you mean Whistler gets a fucking incredible park (3 huge parks between 2 mountains) and has one of the best jump lines in North America.
 
I believe Tanner Hall, has had residence in PC since he was 14 or something. He went to the academy there.

Also, it is super easy to live in Salt Lake; cost of living, proximity to the mountains, huge university, etc. I lived in a van in the city for the winter. I would never think of doing that in Summit Co or whistler.
 
To clear one up Tanner has been living in Park City for years, he didnt move from Mammoth for money.
 
cause park city's park is really really dope and is also close to other utah resorts which get insane amounts of snow... seems like a pretty good place to live as a pro
 
god you guys are all so stupid. all of those pros are just so stupid for not living in mt hood or colorado. they should be training hard every day, not just out fuckin around, thats so unfair to all the other kids that would kill to be as good as them. they have a responsibility to be somewhere like summit county, where they can train on different mtns and get better at every aspect of skiing and also use facilities like woodward for training. pro skiers are so god damn selfish...
 
This thread is a shit show. you all have this insane "rep your hood" feeling towards all this. These places are all great in their own right. Skiing is much to personal to talk about it so objectively, We all ski. And if you like where you are. Stay there. If you want to find something new, sure, try out PC. I love Utah. I moved from the east and I will never leave. I've skied a lot of places, and utah is MY best place. And frankly i don't give a shit how you feel about it.

This thread SUCKS. Firstly, CO and whistler and even hood (i assume) are all very fun.

BUT as far as places I've been... Utah is the sickest. its just straight up fun, progressive and convenient. Tanner, only competes in pipe ( if you haven't noticed) and PC has one of the best. Other than that, their 4 other parks have fuckin everything you could want. Plus all the homies ski everything, pow, handrails, fatty jumps. slc puts out.

Besides so many legit parties, schools, and fun kids around.

Thats my two cents abuot the place i shred and relax.

what the fuck are you talking about? we only get smog on days when there is inversion, which is probably 10 days out of the whole year. its fine with me if you dont like SLC. its just one less tourist i have to worry about
 
PC opening tomorrow with 2 30ft jumps and 11 other features. Only other place to outdo that atm was keystone. As stated before by rich, heath etc. school + city + airport + very close AWESOME skiing = why all of these people live here.
 
because one time i was in park city and i ate this really big burrito in the village and then i took a really big nasty shit in a restroom at the mountain and then when i was on the hill nobody made fun of me for it like "hey there's that kid who took that nasty poo earlier on in the day" oh and also i learned 360 tails at park city albeit it was in one of the smaller parks but still it was pretty fun also once when i was in park city i fell down trying to slide a kinker rail for the first time and a complete stranger in a tall tee gave me a pointer or two (he had a bandana on his face and i was surprised beccause usually people with bandanas on their face are train robbers but this clearly wasn't a train robber cause he was teaching me me how to slide kinker railers) and then i slid it completely clean and then i rode and tried to do a 540 on a jump but i fell =[ but i still had a really fun time at park city and they had really good brownies in the lodge =]

dude r u serious... not puttin in effort?... 4bi9, Tanner, Ashley, and now introducing clowschool, are some of the most elite crews/skiers... Tanner basicaly started freestyle skiing revolution... Tom Wallisch came from Park City and now look at him, you cant say 1 bad thing about him... And LJ Strenio is probably one of the dopest skiers out there, and he also just was at KOS... And all these skiers maybe with the exeption of tanner ocasionaly never go out and say "Oh, lets Train today", they just go out and have a good time... Plus PC's atmosphere overall is awsome and its right next to SLC and U of U... So y dont u STFU

I'm not quite sure who you are trying to convince about what....
If you are trying to say that some of these guys "work hard to get good" (train) or maybe "put in effort" (train).... well, maybe you should re-read the post knucklehead, that's exactly what I was getting at.
But you are still somehow offended by the thought of anyone suggesting that these skiers "train", is that it?
Your problem is what? Not the suggestion that these skiers work hard to improve (cough "train" cough), but simply the use of the word "training"? Or perhaps it was the suggestion that "training" and "going out and having a good time" can actually occur together that has your panties all bunched up? Fucking hilarious.
Thank you for providing the absolute perfect example of what my original post was about... It wasn't a callout on heath guy, (although he sure took it that way, pretty defensive little fella isn't he?). It was just a callout on all the image conscious sheep on NS who have to be seen as way too cool to let anyone think that they would ever "train".
 
Because they all like park and PARK city obviously has a park hence the name. I joke, but I smell an epic thread.
