Because in the past 8 years snowboarding has become the trendy thing to do. If I am good at skiing, why would I waste my time snowboarding so that other people can think I look cool? I'm a skier for life.

 
i skied first....i have snowboarded and i wakeboard all summer....i just like the moves and style of skiing alot more

 
I say because you can be way more innovative and creative on skis, and when u land switch u actually land backwards no the other sideways.

I've been skiin' since I was 3 and I spent 8 years or so training in a Speedo racing suit and Im not gonna give it up because someone askes me too...everywhere I go, girls think skiers are gay. So then I slap em.

i dunno if its true, but ive heard that:

Snowboarding is a bit harder to learn, but much easier to master

Skiing is easier to learn but harder to master.

i guess that just depends on the person tho

 
because skiing is what i do. i have no life, so i have ot stick with the one thing i am semi-good at. plus, if i went snowboarding, i would be mad at myself for wasting a perfectly good day of skiing.

They say the difference between a beginner snowboarder and a snowboard instructor is about 2 days. Thats why I'm a skiier.

because when every single one of my friends switched to snowboarding only because it was the cooler looking thing to do, i became resentful. plus you can go faster and hit bigger jumps and refrain from sitting on your ass most of the day

Everyone and there Fucking grandma snowboard, I like to be different , i like the style. All snowboarders look the same to me but there is such a huge diversity in skiing. and i have been doing it for ever so why stop.

when people ask me i tell them this:

i want to bring my style to skiing. i may not be freakin good, but god knows there are enough people like me in snowboarding. and snowboarding is cool, but so are gay people. being queer will be as trendy as snowboarding soon. think abot, they are the alternative ones, they are extreme in terms of their lifestyle, and like snowboarding they just want to be accepted everywhere.

oh, that and turning on skis is the most amazing feeling ever. like carving, real live carving

i ski because the snow gods told me to when i was a child. it was amazing, i had plastic skis at the time, and i was trying to ski down a bench. and then it hit me: i should go skiing.

I prefer skiing cause I prefer the feelings that it gives. I like snowboarding I snowboard for 3 winters but I prefer skiing over it.

Actually it's generally the other way around.

But I ski cause it's way sexier and more stylish than boarding, and face it, snowboarding isn't the rebel underdog now, it's the trendy thing, newschool is the underdog rebel now. I like the reality of that.

I started skiing, then everyone started switching to snowboarding. But I was already experienced on skis, and loved skiing so much already, that I just stuck with it.
