my intire crew waited for his ass at the bottem of the hill and beat the shit out of him. i broke his poles agianst a tree, and we snapped one of his skis. fucker got uppercutted so much. he was bleeding from his eyes and shit, crying like a little pussy. i busted out a body slam on his ass and broke both of his arms. the ski patroler broke up the fight and clipped all of our tickets. we where gonna beat the shit out of the patroller but my mom came to pick us up.

i like the short lenght cuz of the manuverabitlity, gives more of the rollerblading feel and i do that alot. faster switch ups and such like on skates.

i ski becuase it gives me a feeling like no other, of adrenalin, and it makes me feel alive. its also challenging, and i love mountains, i love being in mountains, and skiing down steep powder filled slopes in the middle of a huge mountain range

 
I love being outdoors to start. I do it to escape from the daily drone that is my life at school. It allows me to relax and think. I can push myself in ways I can't in everyday life. I can meet cool people. I ski for Me. If I skied for someone else, I would be on a snowboard.

Why do I ski? cuz it's fun, cuz it's challenging, cuz it's a chance to rip shit up with my friends without the hassles of getting arrested, I love mountains, I love progressing my skills, and I love snow. Oh, and snowboarder chicks love skier guys...

because its just fun fun fun. whether its ripping around on groomed trails, really stomping a landing, or going backcountry and skiing waist deep powder - it's all fun!!! Like others have said, you also meet some awsome people and see some fantastic scenery while you're at it.

skiing is the best sport in the world, lots of friendly competition to go bigger, lots of fun pushing your limits, nearly every one is always stoked and having fun the entire time skiing, both on the mountains and during backyard setup sessions
 
because its fun. skiing=fun, its the most free sport in the world, no rules, no boundaries. nad if you do brake those precious rules, it only fround apon, like...masterbating on an airplane.

because i dont know anything else. ive been skiing for 15 years out of my 16 alive, and ive become addicted to the rush i get from it. when i cant ski, i get really moody, but when i am skiing, i forget about everything else going on in the world, its just me and the mountain
 
because nothing can replace that feeling of sliding down the snow and flying through the air.

Skis give the human body the ability to do things on a downward slope while using the body's normal 'standing' position. They basically enhance the possiblities of what our body's can do WITHOUT changing how the body is aligned unlke a snowboard, skateboard, a bicycle, a motorized vehicle, a scooter, etc.

Because of this FACT all the of the above reasons in this thread given can be experienced.

 
Skiing gives me redemption. The concept of everything that's inside every trip looses the feeling that I get of this grey and dull depressing environment with concrete all over the place.
 
i ski because nothing can compare with the feeling of strapping on a pair of those slippery sticks and make turns down the side of a mountain. because ITS FUN!
