quite simply, the mian problem with skiboards is that you miss the best part of skiing. Which is going down the hill. Skiboarding is like trying to slide down the hill on your feet, where's the fun? Sure you can hit the jumps all day, but you're missing the finest experiences. For ex. powder kickers. Have you ever tried to throw some move way to advanced for your self, totally fucked up, landed on your head, got up and said 'WOH THAT WAS AWESOME.' Some newschool 'SKIERS' are riding 145's in the park which in my opinion doesn't even relate to doin' trix on real skis, but instead relates to skiboards. The difference is, you can still go down the hill, carve it up, and bounce around in a little pow on 145's.
PS. I'm 5'7' and I ride 170's, and they're allmost too short for me.
