Why do you guys hate Skiboards so much?

I don't know why some of you have this hate for skiboards.. If anything its harder and it takes more talent to pull and land trix. I have been Skiboarding for 3-4 years and i can throw spins from 180-900 w/ diffrent grabs, misty 5s and 7s, rodeo 5s, backs, underflips, corks, flats, rail switch ups, and 270 ons. Now i know for a fact that if any skier trys any of the trix mentioned above they would eat shit. But i have tried some of the trix above on skis and have landed them with ease. Hell if anything skiing is easyier. You have 140-180cm skis to land on and heavier so that you have more momentum when doing spins. I have only 99CM and 3-4' wide base (00 Line MN pros) to land on, any fuk ups and i eat it. Personaly I think Andy Stewart is the one of the best skiboarder/skiers in the world. He can go out and bust a cork 9 on skiboards take them off grab some skiis and bust a cork 10.

But all in all.. for people who think skiboarding is gay my sig says it all.

I only have 2, one of me doing a mute in the pipe at mt snow and a cork 7 mute at mount snow.

I am not asking you guys to convert.. I am just curious why.. i also added my 2 cents on why i belive skiboarding is more challenging than skiing.. thats all. I support both skiing and skiboarding since i do both. But i am sure you guys get all bent out of shape when snowboarders start bashing you and your sports so don't do it to me.

That's funny because i ride 185s...and i can do all those tricks (well, not underflips or flats) without eating shit.

Basically, who cares if it's harder to land on snowblades. It's harder to skateboard barefoot, so why don't you take up that sport? I haven't seen many rollerskaters hitting up halfpipes..maybe you should try that? I usually don't trash different sports, i'm fairly open...but COME ON, i've never seen anything done on snowblades that can't be done on skis, much better and with style.

First of all people who ride on skiboards are gay and they have no style. They just look retarded when you ski on them , they fucking suck. You cant even ski the rest of the mountain with them, which means no pow and no backcountry, no that just sucks. Dont skiboard period!

And besides, those tricks you said you can do, anyone can do those on skiboards, maybe not land them, baut atleast huck them, I agree it;'s harder to land on those things, but thats just cause there so gay and short.

Skiboards are for gay people who 'want to try something new and exciting' on there weekend trip to the ski hill. There also a fucking ski schools dream. Every prick ski instructor is inlove with ski boards because they equal one big gay combination.

There is no skill envolved in snowblading just like there is no ski involved in shooting yourself in the foot. Ironically snowblading is also about as much fun as shooting yourself in the foot!

i'll have to agree, i've never seen anything close to stylish done on ski boards or whatever you want to call them...they make you look sloppy, especially when your arms flail everywhere when you're tryin to get to the lift from the lodge...

It's not about the wannabes stylin' for the crowd. It's about you setting your own standards and being a tough judge...

But I prefer to skiboard.. hell why not call it a practice tool for skiing.. if i can stomp a cork 9 on skiboards then why couldn't i stomp it on skiis and make it look stylish. But at least there are some intelligent people who gave there reason w/o insulting me or the sport, and i thank you.
