Why do you enjoy skiing?

What's up guys

I've been thinking a lot recently about what exactly it is that makes skiing so damn enjoyable and I'm curious as to what you all think. Try to make the responses a little more interesting or insightful than just "it's fun", or "just because" even if the answer may just be that simple in the end.
 
Quite honestly I think we get so caught up in the industrial world - school, work, bills, etc - that we often forget how liberating it is to be on top of a mountain with some buddies, going as fast as we want and not giving a shit about anything but the present. It's getting back out into the natural world. I feel free. Powerful. Challenged. It puts my life into perspective; I'm a puny, insignificant human compared to these magnificent snowy mountains. My spiritual sense is heightened, even though I'm not religious in the slightest. It's heaven. It's the breath of fresh air, the rush of adrenaline, and the absolute fucking bliss of conquering a steep line you never thought you'd be able to until then.

In all seriousness though I think jumping on skis kind of shows how skiing feels for that bit of time you're in the air you are not on the earth you are totally free and when you go skiing you are free of all the frustrations because all that matters is that you have fun on the mountain
 
I like skiing because it gives me a way to express myself. It lets me go big and show creativity and ski the way I want to ski and showcase that to everybody. I also like it bexause there is a never ending possiblility of tricks and stuff you can do so im never bored
 
I just love the vibe I get when I going off a jump or slidding a rail and the freedom to be able to do whatever u want. I also love all the funny memory's u have with your friends.
