Why do so many snowboarders hate us?

this is most probably a repost, but I really want to know what so many boarders have against skiers, like it's not like we go out of our way to piss them off or anything
 
ironically its the core snowboarders that have the most love for skiers, and the weekend warriors that buy into Burton that hate skiers.

the more you slide on snow, the more you love other forms of sliding...even if only because its funny(snowlerblades, monskis etc)

its also because we dont look like we have a bear trap stuck to our leg when getting off the lift.
 
i havnt really seen any snowboarders over the age of 14 that hate skiing. and it also only seems to be the ones who suck.
 
you must have never ridden loon. seriously, those kids full on hate skiing. i have yet to meet a passive boarder at loon
 
have met lots. some can be dicks. but when u talk to some of the guys up there 1 on 1 or if in the gondi with a few then there usually really chill. i just had a huge convo with a park ranger and 2 guys form the loonatics about urban like 2 weeks ago
 
This Pic is the way it should be. We all enjoy shredding the park, trees, steeps, groomers. people that hate on each other are shallow and short sighted. /endthread

they dont. I was skiing breck, and a guy on teles was KILLING it. He stomped a cork 10 off of the last park lane jump!!
 
I don't personally know one snowboarder that hates skiers. And I don't think the ones that do hate us are really chill people. Its only annoying snowboarders that hate skiing. But a lot of skiers hate snowboarders too which I don't understand. But that might have something to do with it.
 
If you talk to any of the boarders outside of the park they tend to be cool, when you seem them in the park however.....

 
I actually know a snowboarder who still doesn't like skiers... well - skiing. he's civil with us, but he'll talk shit behind our backs about the sport, and sadly the people.

off the slope we're friends though. I think it's funny that someone in their late 20's still has their hate on. didn't we get over that shit like a decade ago?
 
What was the deal with Burton vs. skiing, i tried looking it up but couldn't find a definite answer. Does anyone have a link or an article i could read?
 
I feel no shame in admitting that i hate ALL snowboarders. the only ones I like are the ones whom I've met off-hill and became friends with. 99% of them are huge fuckin d-bags.

I dont mind, I'm just sick of snowboarders and the hate they give skiers.
 
I live in quebec and i we got winter 6-7 months a year, so the only ones i hate are the one bitchin' about winter.
Its there more than half the year, learn to deal with it.
I don't hate boarders, they are kind of the origin of skiing, skiers used to try to do "snowboard" tricks.

But to anser your question, i think they are the same type o' people that are racist, never will go anywhere and can't accept anything different.

the only snowboarders that hate on skiing are immature 12 year olds that think its the cool thing to do and people who cant accept what others choose to do
plenty of skiers hate on snowboarders as well
people keep asking "why cant we just all get along?" and its cuz of people like SteveStepp that just hate them for no particular reason
 
the snowboarders at my mountain hate us because "we wreck the lips of the jumps" by going off the the jumps with our legs shoulder with apart so when they carve acrosed it is a little bumpy, because them carving acrosed dosent do anything to the lip
 
So do skiers... what happens when you don't land with a set of tips downhill. Or "revert" right after you hop off.
 
There are tons of snowboarders who hate on skiing. It's like the bmx/skateboard thing, skateboarders are pretty big douches to bikers. I do both and although I like skateboarding better, I don't feel any cooler when I skateboard? I think it's the general idea they have about skiers. Saga,LDC ,stickered out helmet with their Armadas. They hate that style. Which is why I don't wear that shit!
 
I don't know any boarders who still hates skiers or vice versa. Granted, I give my boarder friends shot

Skier don't? Is my meter broken? Are you honestly going to say that it isn't the wear and tear that degrades the condition of the lip but it's just the fact that it was a snowboarder? I hope you be trollin'.
 
they are prolly just pissed cuz we zoom right past them while they are sitting and strappin up their bindings
 
i hate all the bad snowboarders' that cant snowboard, so they slide down the hill sideways and take all the snow off. leaving just ice, thanks you guys.and the sound that it makes, makes me cringe.
 
basically. it seems like the kind of boarders who hate skiiers are gaper thirteen year olds who are like "YEAH SHAUN WHITE SKIINGS GAY BOARDING RAW HELL YEAH ZUMIEZ"

 
actually thats so true my brothers friend snowboards and he said that sean white snowboards therefore skiing is gay and snowboarding is better
that same day he may or may not have gotten snowed by me every run
 
My Friends little bro is in middleschool and he tells all of his middleschool friends that I'm a pro skier so all of these random little kids come up to me and ask if I know Shawn white. Haha kinda funny story but also kinda irrelevant
