Why do ski/snowboard rails and box's cost so much?

I was looking online for a box for my backyard setup and all of the rails/box's cost so much, I even found a box that was around $900

Just build your own for less than 50$-100$

I'm guessing materials + labor are kinda expensive. I didn't even know they were really for sale. The ski areas I go to build their own from scratch.

Just build your own my rail costed me 30 bucks to build for the materials. Then go to ace or any hardware store and ask if they have any broken pallets and if they do they’ll normally give it to you for free

Yuhp, you can build your own for so cheap. PVC and wood supports which are dirt cheap/ free.
