Why do people smoke in high school

usually to get high... just throwing it out there

theres no reason to it people just do it, like a couple friends of mine who racked up ketamine before the last two lessons of the day a few weeks back. not much point to it, people just do it i guess
 
Well it depends if they do it secretly they just like it but chances are if they are flaunting it they are trying to score cool points with people.
 
Unattractive personal appearance (bad breath, stained teeth, dull hair and wrinkles).

actually like 75% of high school seniors said they would NOT date a smoker,

and we did a little survey thing in my class where my teacher had everyone stand up and go to one side of the room if they would never date a smoker and the others go to the side where they would date a smoker. there were only like 4 kids on the would date a smoker side, and about 25 on the other.

not so impressing?
 
theres a differnece between smoking and smoking weed. smoking weed is fine, but cigs are juist pointless and geih
 
i was just letting you know, thats what i learned in health class, and btw i was one of the 5, very akward to be standing there.
 
can i just ask why your teacher asked your class this?

firstly why would she care? and secondly what sunject needed such unoficial information?

just seems weird to me
 
ah yea makes sense now, just seemed like a random thing to ask a class to do. ya never been in a health class myself n im kinda glad im not in one lol
 
no im cool without smoking i get a high from running trails and runnings across tree logs and stuff like that its way more exciting
 
its funny how people used to smoke because the majority of other people did and they thought it was cool, now teachers are using that to try and get kids from starting
 
Hold up sweethheart. tobacco and weed are two very different things. It's unrealistic to compare cigarette smokers to kids who smoke weed. They don't share the same effects, both mentally, or physically. In response to the statistic that you dropped in your previous post: At just about every high school I know, 75% of the students smoke themselves, which leads me to believe that your logic is flawed.
 
theres a pretty big difference between smoking weed and smoking cigarettes.

I dont think I have seen anyone become all hagered looking because they smoke pot and I think I have the whitest teeth out of anyone I know.
 
alot of people get into it when theyre young and they just do it and never stop

alot of kids do it to be cool and we all know this

its the same thing , why do people drink? why do some people do anything?

why the hell not smoke in high school. Its quite the experience, everybody should try it atleast once. But dont get paranoid, remember nobody has any idea you're high. just enjoy the trip quitely. In most cases the teachers last thought through her mind is that you're stoned
 
i started smoke cigars first last year and a few months later i started smoking weed and i've been smoking ganj ever since.. the last cigar i had was during the summer

and i have never had a cigarette or dipped
 
i dont smoke much but on ocassion its great if you dont feel like partying/drinking you can just relax and do something stupid and it will seem fun.
 
you made up that statistic

and thats not a good survey cause there definitly are going to be kids who would date a smoker/smoke that aren't gunna go over there cuz there embarressed.

and lastly your teacher is a sick for embarrising those kids, most teachers would of said close your eyes and raise your hand to get a better survey.

and the thing that pisses me off most is people telling me what to do.
 
agreed. at least weed does something to you. although theyre both bad for your health, at least weed gets you high.

but dont overdo it. its way better if you can control yourself and not get addicted to anything.
 
because high school is BORING. i smoked almost everyday at lunch because at my school we're allowed to leave campus. good times, you should try it.
 
i think that smoking asfter high school is ligit bc you dont have your parents on your back 24/7 cant wait till that is over
