Why do people hate spiders?

why? most of them can't hurt you, and the ones that can are easy to avoid. they don't really creep me out either. my house has a lot of wolf spiders. I have seen some pretty big ones the size of my palm, gotten bitten twice by one while I was asleep, and they really don't bother me. I always catch them in a glass and release them outside my house. I don't think I've ever killed a spider intentionally. they keep the bug population down, and my house has so many bugs in the summer you'd have to see it to believe it.

wasps and hornets are a much different story. spiders only bite as a last resort, but wasps will sting you for much less. and you could easily escape from a spider. but a wasp? maybe, maybe not. I had a hornet's nest in my chimney one summer, by the end of the season I would have to run through a screen of 30 or so hornets outside my front door to get inside. that was some scary shit.

I don't know why I'm posting this, I guess cause I just watched a program on spiders.
 
Spiders are fucking sweet. I caught a Hobo and keep it in a mini-terrarium I made for it. She's on my desk next to Manny, my preying mantis.

i think spiders are pretty sweet actually. like how intracite (sp?) they are and how they build webs the way they do.
 
spider's are the shit, we've got these huge banana spiders on the porch at our ranch that we occasionally feed crickets to. watching them eat is easily one of the sweetest things ive ever seen in nature.
 
when I find a spider at my house, I trap it under a glass and let it die. somehow it makes me feel ok for not directly killing it..
 
if your gonna go to the trouble of trapping it under a cup or somethin, why not just slide a piece of paper under the cup and carry it outside and release it.
 
word spiders are awesome, me and my brother used to catch bugs and feed the ones by our house it was dope. now if u wanna talk what im afraid of, its god forsake wasps/hornets/bees. hate them so much and Ill run like a pansy if they are by me
 
im not scared of spiders really, but damn we had black widows in Idaho those are some nasty fuckers, they kept killing the neighbors dogs, and i know a couple kids who have been bitten and hospitalized by them. very aggressive as far as spiders go. Fascinating tho, ive taken alot of upper level chemistry and their venom is like art on a chemical level, total masterpiece, very fascinating, makes me wonder how they developed that naturally in nature.

cuz thier fucking creepy and scarry as fuck and stuff like that, they even kill little kids for fun. I know the guy holding those camel spiders in iraq
 
shiiit I was down in WI this summer and I was driving in my little john boat and saw this thing shoot towards my boat (I was goin like 5-10?) and then like a minute later I feel this pain in my hand so I look over and there is a fucking HUGE spider latched into my hand. I flipped and tried to shake it off but it wouldn't come off so I started slamming it against the side of the boat and smashed it. I saw like ten more of the things throughout the rest of the trip. they run across water like mad.. I mean this is why I've always been scared of spiders. fuck em. I hate em.
 
dude just fucking look at them. they're like hairy and have so many eyes and legs and look all creepy and shit. i get so scared when i see them. like i run away from TINY ones in my house. i'll pick up snakes, or anything at all for that matter...besides spiders.
