Why do park boots cost so much money?

I ski the park on race boots right now and the boots even lean forward for speed and everything. I feel this really limits my skiing, so i want to get a new pair of boots.

now the only park boot on evogear for me is 430$ come on give me a fucken break... A high end good pair of snowboard boots is like 200$. anyone know a good comfy park boot that is comparable to the SPK for cheaper?

there are absolutely no ski stores near me whatsoever either, but i know i have a wide foot. size 30/29.5.

see if you can score some boots from previous seasons, lightly used or maybe just ones that never sold. i picked up a pair of dalbellos that hadn't been sold for $200 at a huge sale, as opposed to the $450 price tag they still sell for, and i've been more than happy with them for the past few seasons.

park boots are really on the cheaper end of the boot spectrum... dont limit yourself to just park boots like someone said... just because they are "park specific" doesnt necessarily make them better. every boot is going to lean forward to some degree, it helps with your skiing stance.. if youre looking for a softer flex than a race boot just find a softer boot that fits, good luck man :)

before park specific boots came out, I think many skiiers were using the softer recreational boots for the flex. Rec boots are cheap.

you know that 29.5 and 30 are two completely different size boots right? and if you have a wide foot check into head boots, maybe the mojo

maybe don't look for "park" boots maybe look for an allmountain boot. Some "park" boots are just all mtn/race boots with squishy footboards and cooler colors soo search up and look around

imo, i think you should get full tilt boots. if you look around online(evogear/porterstahoe/ al's ski barn, etc), you'll find a cheap enough pair. the great thing i like about full tilt is how you can change your flex. all you do is swap different tongues that have different flexs. see if you can buy last season's full tilts because they are cheaper than this seasons and are more or less the "same" thing(diff colors, etc).

i got my 2008 full tilt Camo for $170 shipped online...

just my 2 cents

as much as i love my full tilts, theyre far from ideal for everyone. he said he has a wide foot, and full tilt has one of the narrowest lasts out there. stop recommending fad prodcuts.

Boots are not shoes, get boot fit. all your looking at right now is color. every boot is different and so is every foot. 90% of the time people who don't get fit buy boots to big and end up swimming in them after 10 days. i cant stress enough GET BOOT FITTED

it has nothing to do with the cost of production and everything to do with supply and demand.

If no one wanted to buy park specific boots, the price would go down.

its 100% marketing.
look how many kids on this site that are convinced they need a 'park' boot...when a PROPER FITTING performance boot would suffice and then some.

Thanks for the link, i'll ask around and research the boot.

Yea and kind of what i mean by "park boot" is the softer flex

The ones i'm on are so bad for park that it actually says "worldcup" racing right on them.

I tried on the delbello rampages and they squish my foot, and the full tilts sound like a really good boot, but from what I hear they are like the rampages. I'll also look into HEAD mojoboots. ,thankss
