Why Do LINE Skis Suck So Much?

So you want them to make a high budget ski which im pretty sure they could with better quality that would be ruined in a year of park skiing anyways?... Lines are a bang for the buck

lol thats why you made a thread asking about scott, k2, and line. after shitting on line in this thread. wow, just wow.

lolz line skis are sick! wtf is this guy is this kid talking about! he probably hasn't even ridden line skis before!

line skis are awesome. with the exception of the afterbang. bad premise/idea poor execution awful results. every pair ive seen(more than 50% gapers) looks like absolute garbage. bring back cap. invader and anthems were so much better than afterbangs.

This thread should really be titled "why to afterbangs suck so much?" Their other stuff is pretty decent.

Buy them. Line has been in the game since before some of these kids were born. They make great skis. I've loved every pair I've been on. And I was riding my anthems last night. So so so much fun

Chronics are a great ski, and they take a beating like none other. My 09/10 model chronics still have zero edge cracks, and ski like the day I bought them. There is nothing "bad quality" about them.

Bro get a life I can't throw on any good park ski pretty sure if todays pros thought they could throw better shit with other skis they would saitch

Line's don't suck...... I skied my chronics for 3 years and lost like 1 cm of edge and that's it. I had invaders before that and those have 1 edge crack, I abused the shit out of them and still do. I have stomped down on shark fin rocks with my lizzies and don't even have a scratch on the bases. And my cryptonites take a beating like none other. LOL @ op, that was a nice try.

Line is a sick company, I have a pair of afterbangs and I love them, there a super fun/buttery ski an there not all that heavy, you just hbe weak legs. Inb4 a shit storm on how I am stupid

I'm sure their other skis are great (with the exception of the Afterbangs), but I'm lighting my Masterminds on fire when I get new skis.

Afterbangs are fuckin sick. Don't listen to all the haters who say "but the topsheets get all chipped up and look like shit" That's how they are supposed to look. Like a well used skateboard deck!

Go soak a "well-used skateboard" in a puddle for while, then get back to me on how it rides afterwards.

That is why a-bangs suck.

why does your mom suck so much?

line makes good price point park skis and dope BC skis like the EP/Mr. P and awesome charging skis like the prophet series.

in addition skis like the invader were new to the industry at the time and with the butter zones, symmetrical sidecut and carbon ollie bands it pushed other companies skis in this direction. they sponsor dope athletes that arent in it for the money but just love to ski.

stfu hater!

My first pair of skis were Line Invaders, and they were fantastic, they took all the beatings i could give them, i trashed the hell out of them and they still held up. Now i have last years chronics, and they are absolutely fantastic, i love these. Line in my opinion are pretty good skis. I'm not a fan for the most part of the 2012 graphics, but it's whatever. I would love to try a pair of Armada skis tho

the only thing going against line skis is that they use absolute shit bases on their park skis. They don't hold wax for more than three runs then you might as well just give up at being fast.

Eeehhhhhhh... I've always had terrible luck with them.. I wish I could post pictures from my iPod. I've had three pairs and they all have just self destructed. My bacons are a disgusting excuse for a ski. They have even been back to the factory for a repress and they just fell apart again. Never buying line again

I've heard that in the past they have had lemons. Just a bad ski or two that delam because of a problem with the epoxy mix. Hopefully they are past that. It's pretty embarrassing for a ski company that big. Apparently they have good warranty service though!

I love the tree designs from eric pollard, I'm a fan, and personally think the tree designs are the best graphics out there. I also like last years blends, among many others, and I'm not a huge fan of every things they do, for instance afterbangs and this years blends graphics, but again art is subjective and i think everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and everyone has their own opinion on skis. Some of us like loud graphics, some like more subtle, some like soft skis, some like stiff. also, to the op, i'm sure you would have more support if you were a little more specific. What is it you don't like about line, and i mean from riding them, not from the spec sheet, and how do they compare to skis you have ridden from other companies. You are entitled to your own opinion, but it helps if you can back it up with specifics.

^ OP hasn't skied Line before, he just doesn't like the Afterbangs. I've posted different stuff in this thread, but I'll say two things they need to improve on. 1: no more graffiti graphics for the Blend. You had it perfect with the blue and orange ones, then graffiti made me not want them. 2: make a powder or big mountain ski longer than 186, many riders out there find that much too short for a big mountain ski.

Of course Line's entry-level (Afterbang, Mastermind) skis aren't the best, but then again you shouldn't compare $300 skis to other companies' $500 skis. That's just stupid. I don't think there's anything wrong with Line's higher-end stuff. I've owned several pairs of Pollard's pro models and always been really happy with them. Basically you get what you pay for.

People who enjoy Line skis: - has never skied a good pair of skis

- doesn't know how to ski at all and therefor can't feel the difference.
