Why do british pros suck so much

Like did you see the orage brits ? that was so bad! I mean like if they are pros why cant they ski, there are guys on here who are better than them. How are they so bad?
 
"so bad"? first question: could you have done better than all of them? If you cannot, don't say they suck.

Second off, where are they supposed to ski in GB? That is like asking why North Carolina freeriders aren't as good as people from California, Utah, or Colorado
 
foot ball,we have some descent skiers, rugby world champions, cricket, not generaly being as fat as americans etc.
 
We've already had all this with the orange brits. Ok so we are a little behind techinacally but its not all about what you can do. I mean if its all switch 10s what kind of comp is that.

Anyway we've got some sick young guys coming through. Murray Bucahn

Joe tyler these guys are young and are as good as any americans.
 
Yeah I didn't get his name but one of them threw a switch flair off Air Jordan this winter, probably the sickest thing I have seen. I'm not saying there are a bunch of british pros coming out of whistler but definitely some good riders there.

Paddy, I was at BUSC. You and Murray threw down, but I feel like you guys are still a little behind. There is just no substitute for growing up on snow. Murray needs to grow a little though so he can go bigger.
 
Last time i checked there weren't any badass hills on that island. They train on dryslope for christ sake, i think that says enough.

Andy Stewart has some solid steeze. Or whatever his name is.

as for skiing.. who cares... they have fun regardless if its a 180 or a 1080.. you werent competed and they were.. let them get their 15minutes... geez.
 
The best american beers are not main stream, gotta go almost exclusivley to micorbrews to get it right, though Killian's is pretty good. Carlsberg, McEwans(sp), Guiness, Harp, Bass, all kick Our main stream beer's ass
 
It's because most of them practice on dry slope and don't have feet of powder to learn on. If they had what you had, they'd completely own you and everyone you know... wait they already do.
 
well said and its a stupid comment to make that they suck, brits can throw 10s like any other and just because we don't have any tanner halls don't mean we suck
 
Yeah well in the UK, we do have a pretty big skiing industry, and as a country as a whole, we do really love skiing. However we arent blessed with having mountains that we ski on every weekend and after school. Also skiing is a very expensive sport and most of us if were lucky can go to the alps for a week a year. And for those of us which cant live with that, we go and live in a ski resort for a season when were finished with education. "Im sorry if our Pro's arent as good as your Pros" but just give us a break, i think its pretty amazing that we have pro skiers. Do you hear of any pro skiers from Holland for example?? Im sure there are non-pros who are better than some of the british pros, but did they grow up skiing on dryslope?
 
they live on an island. AN ISLAND WITH mOUNTAINS that cannot even open for skiing because of global warming. Scotland is pretty much the only place with skiable mountains and two of their hills never opened last year. They have to fly their asses to the alps, pyrenees, etc. to ski.
 
I think this thread is pretty shoking... most of you guys here are american and get the chance of riding pretty often on real snow. Am french and come from the alps, and have been leaving in the UK for seven years now.

Am telling u, I got soooo much respect for all british rider, fair point they seem behind technically, and its sometime true but then again, those guy throw nearly as hard as all of you if not harder, they have no snow and no mountain... and when you see them skiing , they throw cab7/9 on DRY SLOPES.... Now stop a minute and consider how lucky, we/you are to ski on reall snow quite often in the year.

Furthermore not like mos of you , most of the british rider spend their time riding and not talking about it, whatever it takes, snow dome, dry slope , have to work some shit shop just to afford the real deal for a couple of days.

So step down a little and pay some RESPECT!
 
yea i wasnt super impressed by the jump but i thought the athletes were prety good.
 
Ok, im going to fill you all in on the ski scene in the UK. Scotland has had a great season, iv skied ever weekend since newyear. most of the year we ride dry slope (hurts like fuck if you fall on it) i ski 3 nights a week on the biggest dry slope in europe. we have a comp series called the orange aim, this is ALL on dryslope and people throw down 1080s witch take serious balls. we have have things called snow domes whitch are indoor ski areas on real snow witch close on some nights to the non freeski and boarders to have a ramp night.and as for the brits, im a 15 year old kid sking in it and im no pro. i work all summer to aford a good 10 days in the alps or norway.

these are all the brit pros that i no of: Jamie Cameron, Andy Bennet, Beckey Hammond and Mike Wakefield

and probably many more

So watch out the Brits are comming!!
 
we british actually ski though, we only get a few weeks in a season, not gunna waste it in a fucking park and bragging about our cork 9s on the internet
