Why did Peter get dropped by smith

Just because someone switches sponsors/leaves a company doesn't mean they got dropped... What if he wanted to change? What if he didn't like smith? What if Giro offered him more money?
 
he didnt get droped, he left smith because Giro offeered him sooooooo much money if he would wear there goggles, thats why he left Smith
 
to be fair it seems to have worked, look how many people have just realised giro makes goggles in this thread alone, its bringing there products into the public eye more.
 
a good source tells me this is exactly what happened. good for him.

in pro skiing you need to go where the money is because there is no job security in this shit. One crash and you could be done so make that paper while you can.
 
yeah i noticed that last night and on thursday night kelly clarke was wearing the same giro goggles. $$ does some crazy things.
 
i noticed that and i wondered why go with giro instead of smith. it had to be money. thats the only thing that makes sense
 
that's probably why they offered peter so much money to wear their glasses! Perer is well known everywhere so if people see he is wearing giro glasses they'll go to a ski shop and buy some because they want to ''copy'' his style.
 
people are gonna notice that he had giro goggles but nobodys gonna actually buy them unless if they wanna be just like pete olenick or if they start to make nice ones
 
I had an epiphany:

Since Smith started making helmets and he was sponsored by Giro and Smith he had to chose. Giro offered more money than Smith, so he went with Giro. It makes sense.
 
I went to the giro site and found headphones? I am lost I cant find giro goggles. Why cant companies stay with what works instead of trying to get into ever market out there.
