i guess salomon offered him a better deal....like those specially made skis for the half pipe comp at the x-games. i guess dynastar just didnt offer what candide wanted....sometimes you just gotta try new things

dynastar makes a sick ski, but just dosnt have the cash to carry a top pro like candide.

theres an article in powder about Candide. He said the million dollar thing wasn't true. I think it said they just gave him a better deal and it gave him more chances to expand and get better.

I had a friend brak 3 pairs of salomons this year. I think that the ONLY reason he wouldve switch was for the $. The 10's have that foam core that's shit.

 
this isn't snowboarding, he didn't get a million. also i'm with teddy on the begging to differ. i've seen more delamed brand new 1080's this year than all other skis combined.

Candide switched for the $$$$, simple as that. It wasn't anywhere NEAR $1 000 000 though, just to clear that up. No skier makes a million a year, and no skier gets paid more by his SKI sponsor than Candide at the time that he signed with Salomon(as far as I know), though some skiers may make more once other contracts/contest winnings are factored in.
