Why cant we be friends?

I know what you mean. At my home hill and most others this is not the case, but some hills are just full of assholes. I went to a hill earlier this week that I haven't been to in a while and it was filled with kids who were so damn negative all the time. I'm not sure if it was just the day I went or if they were trying to be funny but every time I would fall trying something new or even land something cool, I was immediately shouted at from the lift by some punk with something smart to say.

Either way, don't let it get you. When you see someone land something that you saw them working on, or even if they didn't land it for that matter, be encouraging and helpful because I guaranty that they will return the favor later. It's hard to be an asshole to someone who is nice to you so kill them with kindness and block out the ones who are still negative.I don't know about you, but I get just as stoked to see a kid pumped on sliding his first rail as learning something new myself. Overall, skiing's meant to be fun, isn't it?

lol fuck that. last year some dickhead threw a piece of ice at me from the lift while i was going full speed. shit hit me right in the stomach with no jacket on. knocked the wind out of me and hurt like a bitch. and when i was like 10 i left my shoes in the lodge and found that somebody put matches in my shoe to try to get me to light my feet on fire

Agree with this, there's love in the community, but not it's not as tight knit as it should be. ex. If you see kids in their Saga, Full Tilts, etc. and they aren't the greatest skiers, don't put em' down for it unless if they're acting like cunts. I'm pretty bad at park, but I bought a Saga jacket because it's a quality jacket and I like it. I don't deserve to have people on my ass because "my gear doesn't reflect my skill level", I know you shouldn't give a shit about what others say, but it gets annoying when people call you out on it.

the ball is in your court, man. go up and say hi. nobody is going to shit on you for saying hi, and if they do, fuck them, ski away.
