Why cant men hit women??

i would catch the rolling pin and laugh at her, that would make her even more mad than if you hit her

Okay here is my honest opinion, there are so many stupid situations where women hit men or slap them. Women are easily frustrated and men are stuborn I wouldn't slap a dude cause thats just stupid, unless the guy was my height which would be like slapping an 11 year old. anywho depending on the situation if the man was to say cheat on me and was just being an asshole and the girl slapped him, and he took it cause he understood he fucked up, should be visa versa. My dad used to beat the shit out of me so I mean I can take a good punch but it is really unfair for the unequal rights. Somone mentioned chivalry think about all the good deads women do for everyone, since we are maternal we have more kind deeds in us and we usually think for other people then ourselves, i'm def not saying this is all women, because let me tell you somewomen are the worst for the headgames they put everyone through. anyways chivalry is almost a reward to the women its messed up if girls aren't willing to pay for shit alot of the times, i mean i pay for over half my boyfriends shit we go out and do... bastard. Seriously though its pretty equal if you think about all the harrasment women go through, we get stuck in alot worse situations, whatever a women does in some situatio can be taken an extremly wrong way thrown out of porportion and just stuff like that. I have just woken up so i'm sorry if this doesn't make much sence,,, i tried.

can you not read. I treid to make it as clear as possible that i am against hitting women, i personally would feel horrible for ACUALLY hitting a girl ( not play fighting) i dont htink i could do it. I couldnt see my self legitimatly hitting a girl unless see was coming at he with a weapon or like trying to kill me. I would most likely just restrain her not actually hit her.

Yes i know men are genrally stronger than women( which is why they have these laws) but then again i could get my schools football teams starting middle linebacker and put him up against some random band nerd and that wouldnt be fair either but its allowed.

it's pretty simple why, it's because it's a taboo. Men showing that kind of treatment towards women is considered abusive, whereas guys fighting guys is just a competition. with women there is less competition as women are generally inclined to lose because of the way that they're built.
all in all i don't think it's a good thing to punch anyone, but if it is necessary, then i don't think it should make a difference whether it's a boy or a girl.
 
my girlfriend just straight up slugged me in the chest in the middle of a crowded mall today...no one seemed to notice, wonder what would have happened if i did that to her....not that i ever would.
 
equality is complete bullshitwomen don't want equality, they want to be equal, but keep all the good stuff they got before toohonestly its just selfishnesslike for example women want to be completely equal to me, never be discriminated upon in the workplace or the home or whatever. but they still want to be able to have guys open doors for them, pay for dates, not treat them the same in terms of hitting and fighting as this thread points outsooo stupid.
 
We are the fairer sex. It's been like that since the beginning of time. BUT I am not for hitting anyone. I'm not going to haul off and deck you for no apparent reason. It's like this because a lot of women have been/are victims of spousal abuse. More so than men though.

i've had two bf's tell me that their ex's used to haul off and hit them constantly...unprovoked as well, which i believe because these two guys were some of the most chill sweetest people ive ever met. one's gf used to wake him up in the middle of the night by pounding his back as hard as possible and the other was kicked in the balls every other day. in that case, putting someone up against the wall and doing your best (without your fists) to straighten them out is warranted.

theres no reason for hitting either genders. its completely unnecessary.
 
I threw a girl through a wall once. It was an accident, but that being said she did kinda deserve it. It was a big mistake, I was drunk (not an excuse though), and I will never do something like it again.

Unfortunately for guys, some girls feel like they can get away with pretty much anything without repercussions just because they are girls, and hitting them back isn't right. Which is correct, there is no reason that you should ever hit someone like that, as much as you might want to. I totally regret what I did and it ruined our friendship for a long time.

In my case, this friend of mine decided it would be hilarious to punch, slap and throw snowballs (iceballs) at my back at a beach party we were having in the middle of winter (I wasn't wearing a shirt, but most people weren't, we had the heat cranked to the limit). Not only did she do this, she encouraged all a bunch of other people to do the same. Obviously this hurt, and I yelled at her and told her to stop, and told everyone else to stop as well. Which she did, for like 5 minutes. After that, she had gotten a half dozen people together to all peg me at point blank range at the same time. My back was already killed me as it was (and I had put a shirt back on because of it), but after she hit me again I lost it. As I turned around and yelled at her to stop, she threw another snowball in my face, so I chased after her and as I grabbed her to tell her to fucking stop it, I kinda followed through with my momentum and threw her through the drywall. Needless to say she got the message, but my reaction still wasn't the right thing to do. But as I said before, she did kinda deserve it, she was being a real cunt that night.
 
I knuckle slapped a girl in 6th grade and made her face bleed when she tried to steal my bread. It was completely on impulse; I saw a hand reaching for my food in the corner of my peripheral vision and my instincts took care of the rest!

I'm pretty sure the "don't hit girls" rule, has a clause where you can hit them if they're about to stab or kill you. So for those of you who said "we should be able to if they're about to hit us with a rolling pin"-- you can, duh.

Men can't hit girls for the same reason that girls can't hit men. It's against the law. Like everyone else said, most men just wouldn't report it because women have a hard time doing legitimate harm by simply "hitting".

The guy who said that women have soft skin and are meant to be held made me "awww".

One time I was at a bar with a ton of people drinking. A friend of mine was like "go slap sean" and i was like "no!" and they were like "seriously, just go slap him, he'll know what its for", and i was like "what if he hits me back?" and he's like "he wont, just go slap him, trust me it's an inside joke, it'll be funny"...so i went up and slapped sean and faster than I could see his reaction he smacked the shit out of me back, right across the face. Gave me a black eye and made me cry. I haven't hit a guy since.
 
Also, seeing as the majority of you think the rule should change, and the majority of you would hit women-- I guess the "guys can't hit girls" rule isn't as universally accepted as we thought.

How the fuck is that allowed. You seem to think that gsomen are alowed to beat up on men...hate to break it to you, they can't. The reason you don't hear about women getting reported on, is because when women do lash out on guys physically, guys do fight back, and then the woman gets beaten because guys are bigger.

You keep saying that it is not allowed to hit a girl but it is the same as a girl hitting a guy. You aren't allowed to hit anyone, its assault. Girls just report guys hitting them more often then the other way around...
 
mah chick hits me all the time. i just take it.
the reason we cant hit them is basically this, not that this has EVER happenned.
she punches me in the headi punch her right backshe gets annihalatedim fine.
 
stats are almost 50/50 for either gender being abused (here in Canada). we just sympathize more with women because they will beat us if we don't. it's one of the downfalls of almost every family having a hockey or lacrosse stick in the house.
