Why can’t I land a 360

Every single 3 I try I land backseat ! I’m focusing on my wind up and pop and everything feels good until I land and I fall back, probably like last 10 attempts this happens every time

Stay a bit more forward. I slowed it down and from the second you left the lip you were going back toward the lip a bit. Still pretty much got it though. How long have you been doing them? I'd say biggest thing is just keep doing them and try not to get too frustrated.

I had issues landing backseat when I was first learning 3s. Pretty common. Not sure if it's angles or fear, everything or something different, but def common. You're basically stomping it. Got the rotation dialed. Sometimes you just need the right thing to click, plus a little confidence.

Nice send!

noted! just at landing or should i try and look at my tips during the whole rotation ?

You're getting the rotation which is usually the issue but you want to be able to see the landing when you come in. Will help you land it. It looks like your lower body is landing but your upper body and head are still at 270.

I still think you got it pretty solid. If you keep doing it you got this for sure. 360s are a big stepping stone.

Keep your core tight and connect your upper and lower body again after separating them at the set, and keep looking for the landing over your shoulder. Once you find it once, you'll find it every time and after that you can focus on the smaller adjustments. Fixing one thing will most likely break another thing in the trick, but most of the time the next broken thing in line is smaller compared to the previous one.

Just keep hucking them and stay determined. You're very close to unlocking one of the biggest stepping stones in the jump game.

hey thank u!! I've been trying off this same jump last 4 times I've gone to the hill and i thought for sure i'd stick it today. ill go back and try lean forward, keep my upper body spinning and spot the landing, that sounds key !

+ Don't look down for the landing! It's completely ok when you're comfortable with the trick and the axis, pretty much everyone who can do the trick properly will look down. But when you're learning, it will almost certainly move your point of balance backwards and make you land backseat!

ah great tip thank you! ill try to keep my head up and rotate my upper/lower body as one, I'm actually so excited to try again now

You should always look where you're going or wanting to go. In every trick and on everything on the hill. Your body will automatically follow. Looking down AND forward will help with understanding where you are mid-air and to spot the landing and calculate if you need to slow or accelerate the spinning momentum in the air to achieve what you want.

make sure your shins are putting pressure against the front of your boots on takeoff and pop. this was a big one for me, had the same problem you are having for the longest time. set spin flat, not with the angle of the takeoff.

Pull your knees up, do it way more than you feel is necessary.

Look at your right arm 3 frames after take off. You fling your arm in a counter rotation. Why?

Thank you sm everyone I defs have all the tools to land it now ! Forward pressure on shins, good pop, Flat spin, look at the horizon, get my arms and shoulders around earlier and knees up !!! ?

And blunt one day… lol

It explains why you throw your rotation off. You add extra forces in the rotation.

Try bringing in you arms next time (like a figure skater) after take off until you feel the 360 is more stable. Another tip is remember to tie an invisible string from your arm leading the rotation and the hip. Doing a helicopter 360 is actually the best way to feel comfortable.

Hope it helps. Your take off is textbook perfect, dont change that!

Find flat ground, line your hand with it, then put your hand under your chin and keep your head like that for the spin

you don't have nearly a strong enough windup. you can tell because your torso is behind your legs when you landed, when it should be ahead, with lower body following. and if you're landing backseat, it's either cause you're not popping well enough or you're spinning before you pop, causing you to be off-axis. also don't think about it too much. just send er

I finally did it!!! Now to clean it up and keep working hard :)

Hell yeah! You love to see it!!!

Best part now is everyone you do you just get better and more confident. The battle of landing a trick is always awesome, but now you have 3's in your bag of tricks which is sick. Keep it up!

oh i didnt see this lol. nice job

Shin pressure and spin a bit more. Try being a bit more patient to pop off the lip, seems like you might be trying to spin before you get off the jump. Also bring your head around first and spot the landing as you let the rest of your body follow.
