I believe Bush did a very good job on making a good response against terrorists so that they know (and every other terrorist for that matter) that we will respond and we will not put up with terrorism. He didnt let up at all, giving the terrorists no shot at making another tradegy on American soil.

Bush took hussien out of power. If he didnt kill Bin Laden he is not in any state of power anymore, hes in some cave. He took out thousands of terrorists and terrorist funders.

But why take Hussein out of power, what level of a threat was he. He had no connection to Al Queda and and wasn't interfering in America. Plus Osama still has some degree of command, capturing him is much more valuble not because it would stop terrorism but because of the information he has.

Why Bush? It's cause a lot of republicans are sheep. If Hitler were republican, half the fucking party would vote for him just because he's republican. If I could vote, I wouldnt just go with my political party. Not that he is, but if Bush were the better candidate, I would vote for him even if I were a liberal democrat. It's usually people like my grandma that are doing this. she doesnt know the difference between GWB and a peanut (what is the difference, by the way?) but she grew up in a home where her father voted rebublican and that's how she had to vote as well. There was nothing to think about. My grandma doesnt watch the news, read the paper, or listen to the radio. She waits till November 4th, and doesnt think twice about voting bush. that's how a lot of people are.

Maybe Kerry changes his mind but at least he can speak like a human being not like bush who sounds like a broken record whos only word is UMMM. May I remind you that in 2000 a) Bush did not win the popular vote, the elections were rigged.And b) Colin Powell held a press conference to say that Saddam Hussein was not a threat to america because he did not have sufficent power to attack (even though Bush Sr. sold him weapons when he was in power). Now why would you want to vote for a president who wants to attack countries whos name he cannot even pronounce? The only reasons I see to vote for Bush are if you are a rich ass redneck (see BigJ) or if you're just plain stupid. Bush only attacked Iraq for oil and it's not only increasing the deficit but it's also costing the lives of soldiers who didnt even want to go to war but were underfunded by your 'President'.

Oil is always going to be in high demand, no matter who is President. Do you actually think the President has much control over oil prices...hardly. People put so much effort into wondering if this President can do this or that presiden can accomplish that, but the bottom line is, everything a president does (or doesn't do) is also a reflection on Congress. That's why our government is called checks and balances...the President can't just make all these decisions on his own, he needs the ok from many others first.

As for whoever asked how was Saddam fucking us...the world is a better place without his punk ass running free. He was a tyrant and an asshole to say the least. Perhaps he hadn't attacked us directly, but there was plenty of reason to go after him. His inhumanity toward his own people is reason enough!!

Again, the point was that Saddam was referred to as pure evil for killing his civilians (probably rightly so), and yet, American troops have had the same effect, but the men responsible (the Administration) have been praised by many for it. His point was, how is it that much better?

I will bet that the U.S, once the public has lost more itnerest in Iraq, will palce a dictator in power. That is what they do, a dictatorship is a more stable government, so it is an easier governemnt to do business with. The citizens get fucked, but the US companies don't. The president is commander of the armies, Bush can invade if he wants, he just needs a half-decent excuse. I would vote for Bush because I believe that Bush knows whats going on right now, Kerry would land in this big mess and not know how to get out. Bush knows all the messed up things that are going on in the governemnt and overseas. He also benefits my family more, because we have money, so that is a plus.

 
See, if you don't agree with the goals of the war, those deaths are seen as a bit more significant. As for 'how is that not better', are you suggesting that any time you do something that creates more happiness for the people, you must be acting rightly? (Winding up....)

lets see...first i was a bush fan but now I'm all for kerry...i guess what changed my mind was all the idiotic things bush has said over time (bushisms). Kerry also has a good tax plan (seeing im not exactley all that rich...)at least one better than Bush. Bush also racked up the deficit..not good. Yes, Bush did a good job responding to all the terrorists and yay we got sadaam out of power...but i still dont see why we had to loose 1000+ soldiers in the effort doing so (2 of which were related to me rest their souls..). So yea it really could be either one this election and my vote goes to kerry.

I never said I don't agree with the goals of the war, but I think those goals have become so skewed that no one knows exactly what they are anymore.

Also, if something is done to make the lives of the majority better, it usually isn't a bad thing. Granted the road to recovery and creating a new government is a long arduous path, but I think better for the Iraqi people in the long run. As for the US appointing a dictator after the public loses interest...no way, that would be like the President (whoever it is at the time) digging his own grave!

US isn't put in charge, US appoints itself the world police. A dictatorship will be put in place, look at the political situation over there and in the US, it is 90% garunteed. I agree with Skibum...most anit-Bush people continue (as in this conversation) to go after Bush on only one issue...whether or not the war was right. Well, it happened and all we can do is pick up from here and do what needs to be done.

I also think it's funny how Kerry has a 'plan' for everything...well, of course he does, he hasn't had to prove himself yet. Also, most of his 'plans' are in direct contradiction to the way he has voted in Congress over the past 20 years.

Basing my opinion on Bush beacuse of his bushisms wasn't the only reason I chose kerry, if you can read, you would have noticed that I also staed that two of my family members died in the war on Iraq..My cousin (19 years of age, bright future ahead of him, died in Falujah and so did my sisters brother in law who i was close with also) I mean to offense to you, but I hope you see why I don't like bush very much, I mean he is a good president and It wouldn't really matter to me if he was elected again, but I would rather give Kerry a try. Like I also said, Bushes tax cuts wern't so great for me and my family...and Kerry promises a better plan. So no hard feeling against any of you, I just hope you can see thing from my point of view. The loss of American lives is never justified and if any president can keep lives from being lost...let him step forward.
