This may just be me, but seriously, there seems to be a lack of black skiiers at my mountain. I'm not trying to sound racist but its something that I think every time I hit the slopes.
Not racist. Its just a race related topic. Def has something to do with no family history of skiing. My parents have never been and they barely get it. I had friends in middle school show me the way.
No.. I reread what I wrote and it sounds that way lol.. just meant I came from New York City parents who did not know anything about skiing and if it was not for friends I would of never tried skiing. Skiing has not been apart of the black community. Not necessarily a money issue. There are well off black people who still don't ski.
On of my friends is black has thrown double backs. I have a few other black friends that shred and there def are black people out there. A small amount compared to white people but they are out there and some of them can fucking shred.
When I was instructing had this twelve year old kenyan kid had never seen snow in his life by the end of the day the kid was poppin threes I was rather proud
