Why are there suddenly so many nutjobs on instagram

 
I think it's always been the same but now the algo pushes more and more unhinged shit. I stg I can't watch instagram reels more than 5 min before I see a video of someone dying

meanwhile i keep seeing these "disaster" vids with indians talking about some book in the comments. Reels was so good and they ruined it
 
I agree man it's worrying how erratic people are on social media. I just hope they are more normal in their real lives.

see any nasa or space post and the religions + conspiracy theorists come out in full force. instagram comments in general are foul, especially when they’re related to hate against queer people cause it’s so excessive.

It feels like people weren't getting heard by their 10 friends in facebook so they eventually move over to insta. If they comment on big posts people will engage.

I thought Dixiecrats were prior to civil rights. Like the old white southern democrats before the parties basically swapped. So this would make even less sense given that context, as far as my understanding of history goes.

Also op they’ve always been there. Difference was their ideas would be made fun of/ignored. Now they can all get together and create an echo chamber. Also, being online - you can hear every crazy Larry’s opinion from every town now.
