it seems to me that when im at the top of the terrain park, all of the ski kids just look at each others' skis and then wait to see how good they are...

why can't we all be more like boarders and share weed and stuff and not give a rats ass bout how good everyone is.

There are like no skiers on my hill. Mostly snowboarders in the terrain park. Or there are...racers just shooting down the middle of the pipe!

I ski at Hood and I've kinda noticed this too. I always come across skiers who are cocky fucks and think they're good. They like to tell me about how they can switch rodeo and 900 and then when I see em' hit the tables they throw the same mute cross everytime. I don't care what people say about me or what I wear...I just try not to be an ass to people...give em' some advice on how to spin faster or something...don't discourage em'...it's fucking common courtesy...LATE

I agree that most skiers are assholes. I ski in west virginia and its mostly boarders but yeah they usually try to snub me. I went on vacaiton at end of my season all across america I went to A-basin,Copper mountain, Winter Park and Mammoth and I think skiers were pretty much assholes everywhere I went. They were stuck up like snobs when I would chat with them on the lifts. There definetally is no sense of community here DAMNIT. Heh but I just moved to Utah hopefully eveyrone will be cool here next winter

Man every body is cool around here. Boarders and skiers everybody is just chill and help eachother out. Dont get me wrong you do come across a few kids that think they are badass and talk them selves up but that is not too often.

i agree wiht river ripper he is one of those guys at the park.. wicked ass.. i ski'd with him this year and all he could say was the wachusett theme to try and make fun of me..its pretty lame but the palces where i ski at wachusett - where everyone knows everyone and is cool and mt snow - where only the sickest east coasters coem and throw down.. the mt snow crew is chill.. we all ski together and help eachother out.. like ryan viscovie was helping me with my cork 7 when he doin d 9 tails over the 60.. its a cool atmosphere where i ski.. the river is total opposite b/c everyone is uptight. river ripper is liek i said one of those guys that hang with klick's and his own people.. mt snow if you ski we'll chill def.

i love going into the terrain park and seeing 12 snowboarders on top being all like, ' Yeah i motha fucking greased that rail yesterday man' or ' yeha i rodeo fived that motha fuckin hip over there' and i take a run through take the lift back up and now the same 12 are still there....im sure there are some skiers that do the same but come on this is the ski gabber so fuck off bitch

i think that most skiers are nicer than snowboarders. i mean, i have a lot of snowboarder friends but there seems 2 be more boarder assholes. like at alta when u go up the lift with some1 9 ot of 10 times u can have a friendly convo with them. but at snowbird it is a much colder vibe. it might just b becuz there r more serious skiers at alta or something like that but it might be the snowboarders.

all boarders and skiers should be chill together. my mountain is gay, and all the boarder and ski instructors have a common hate for the shitty 'park' (1 15 footer, and 2 rails spread to random places of the mountain.) of coarse theres thos kids that ar cocky. i donno who u r hangn out with but most the skiers are chill wit each other. go to some ski jams, you meet the good ppl there. as for boarders, i know one thing... any boarder under 16 or 17 is prolly an asshole. rarely will i get to ski with a boarder my age, or even ski with a skier my age.

At Hood we do wait for each other to go just to watch and we look at each others skis cause we can. Most of the boarders sit up top for 10 minutes then finally go straight air the hits.

I have found that a lot of the boarders are sooo nice, you just have to be brave enough to say werd up to them... and other skiers are always willing to give advice and so on, you just gotta ask and not give them the head to toe when you first see them cause that probably makes them feel a bit defensive cause they think you are judging them

where i see (southern ontairo, not near blue) there are like 3 freeskiers and 1000 snowboarders. most boarder up here are cocky as hell and just go on about how they can do this or that, then theres a few that are down right awsome.

but when i went to quebec and out west this winter, there were so many more skiers and they were all pretty cool. in quebec they tried really hard to talk (french-english thing) to me which i thought was wicked. and out west i meet up with a bunch of boarders who were chill also. just around here everyone IS an asshole

 
i think it depends where you ski some resorts have a really lame vidbe, and other everyone is ripping and riding together. there may be a few exceptions, but normally at my resorts skiers seem to be tighter then snowboarders as a gorup, where any skier can go up to each other and talk and ski together, where the snowboarders stay in their little group. but were i ski everyone basically skis and talks with everyone

all the skiers at lon are pretty cool..there arent a ton of us, but the ones i ski with are cool. and most of the other ones are too. some of the boarders are dicks, but most of them are alright. we need more goddamn skiers at loon tho!!

haha, ya at hood its funny cause the majority of the time, people will just kinda look at the jumps and watch their friends, then its like a train when somebody finally goes. I admit to looking at other people's skis, people have looked at my lil peices of crap and were assholes when I asked them for help. (damn 7th graders..) so so skiiers are asses, but on the otherhand, there are some really nice skiiers too.
