Why America is not the greatest country in the world

The Swiss also have an inflation of university degrees meaning you could have 4 masters degrees and not be able to get a job anywhere. Every country has their problems, you just have to find one you like.

I personally like countries that have a low power distance, meaning that power is distributed more equally amongst people. When people feel that they have power they feel in control and when people feel in control of their own lives cortisol is decreased and dopamine is increased in the brain making people less stressed (stress = assholes). Countries with low power distances are countries like Austria, New Zealand, Denmark and countries with high power distances are countries like Malaysia, Russia, Guatemala.

I hate people who feel entitled and think they're better than others.

Unemployment rate in 2012 was 3.1% (Source) And this official measure overstates the unemployment rate by about 0.5

percentage points. Believe it or not, the working population figure

(i.e. the denominator of the rate) is from the 2000 census. Since then,

it has grown significantly.

That is very low, compared to other countries. Note that different states estimate unemployment

rates using different definitions and methodologies. Given the dramatic

differences in cultural attitudes towards the workforce and working

conditions that exist even between Western countries, a definition that

is both descriptive and objective probably does not exist. Questions

like how is a part-time job counted, how long until someone is out of

the workforce, and the status of subsistence living have not been agreed

upon. In short, these figures are not directly comparable.

But you can not say that Switzerland is unemployed.

But I challenge you to tell a French or Dutch citizen that it's the Soviets they should be thanking.

Russia's greatest victory was not being conquered. Once they got the Germans on the retreat, it was more or less a sweep straight across the steppes into Germany.

Also a good thing that Stalin had so many people to literally throw at the Nazis.

because there's no reason for them to. They didn't see any Russian ships offshore on June 6th. No conscripts storming beaches and no soviet bombers overhead.

Now granted in the bigger picture, there is a reason but if you start applying that logic then eventually you reach the point of thanking the japanese for bringing the americans in in the first place, etc etc etc.

I'm undecided on whether Stalin was actually a decent tactician, or just a nutjob. I mean, in retrospect, plans like that won battles for him...but there's no way he fulled planned it out like that.

Don't make that move.

Above the rivers they will say: we thank the Canadians, Polish, British & the Americans for the direct liberation.

And most will also agree that Russia is also to be thanked.

FYI my 2013 Jetta TDI was designed to have headlights that steam up rather than making a closed system. I have no idea why they would do that. Why make headlights with vents that just steam up when its raining? Stupid Germans

And no, im not gonna fall for your poor attempt at troll baiting.

i think it's fucking sad that the Allies could fight side by side back then but you pathetic twats pick them apart as though any one country could have won that war on their own. trying to take credit for the Allies having won WWII, and you wonder why the rest of the planet hates you more than Germany now. my great-grandfather fought in and survived both World Wars and he'd be rolling over in his grave right now if he could see you limp dicks talking as though the Nazis were single-handedly defeated by any nation. they were WORLD WARS for fucks sake. go fuck yourselves.

America's the only country to ever lose a war to Canada. Canada snuck the slaves out of America. Canada is the only country to complete a D-Day objective on D-Day, despite facing the highest seawall and the Tiger Tanks. Canadian history is pretty fucking great.

I think Canada is the best country in the world. I challenge anyone to name one thing that America has that Canada doesn't (not location or landmark wise).

Then there is our Healthcare system, our abundance of fossil fuels, maple syrup, polar bears, diversity, etc. I guess I just live in a rich neighborhood but it's pretty damn great.

anyone ever visited normandy and the beaches?

I would have rather swum across the channel than land on omaha beach. Literally just a huge stretch of open beach, then essentially a sheer cliff.

Just about every other beach is a decent size open stretch, but then a town.

And everything about the history of Utah is ridiculous. Added at the last minute, and even though they ended up landing on the wrong beach, most of the paratroopers in the area somehow found their way there before the landings.

Meh. Republicans are awful, a black man leadin the country is not better than a white man, it depends on the leader.

But true. America does have us beat in military aspects. Although the military makes the country safer from other countries, not necessarily makes the actual country itself better

Woah woah woah, we aren't arguing whether one country won the war or not, we are arguing whether the U.S. had a crucial part in saving the Allies for certain defeat. Try using some better reading comprehension you chode.
