Why America is not the greatest country in the world

I disagree completely.

The United States are around 75% Christian, which is a huge percentage of the population. To believe that a country with a high percentage of Christians is as much of a problem as a country that has a high percentage of muslims is completely wrong. For instance, look at these countries that have a high islamic percentage.

Afghanistan: 99%

Somalia: 99%

Iran: 99%

Yemen: 99%

Iraq: 98%

Would you rather live in any of those countries instead of the United States? If you have a thing for daily suicide bombers and women wearing burquas instead of yoga pants, then by all means you can live there happily.

 
So what can I, as a 19 year old thats part of the "Worst. Generation. Ever" do that could possibly help? I really like the video, but giving answers and solutions is always more helpful then pointing out all the flaws.

The photo you posted is a perfect example of someone trying to manipulate the numbers, it is fairly inconsistent with using absolute values and per capita values.

I wouldn't say any country is the greatest, sure you can try to quantify an answer through stats but at the end of the day you can't calculate an absolute answer. There will always be a bias.

Before anyone starts to bash on the U.S I think its important for

non-Americans to realize that you really can't generalize what the typical

American is like. I've met so many outsiders who have terrible

misconceptions about America and its people- even after they themselves have lived in

the country for 4-5 years.
 
last time i checked, WW2 was caused by the japanese being apart of the axis, on top of that hitler had no idea japan was planning on attacking america and starting a war with them. so really america only entered the second world war with the intentions of fighting japan, but because japan was apart of the axis they decided to support the allied forces with U.S. troops to try and "cut the head off the snake" sort of deal. U.S. thought that if they got to hitler first the japan would fall. though it didnt happen that way. lol still think its funny u thought WW2 was with europe, more todo with asia than anything
 
For those of you who think America is the worst in terms of CO2 emissions, I learned pretty recently that China has actually surpassed America in that category a few years ago. The thing is, China actually took action to reverse that. America on the other hand didn't and doesn't do nearly as much as China to compensate.

Last time I checked, if the U.S. didn't enter the war and send troops to the European Theatre, Europe would have COMPLETELY fallen, considering that England was really the only power left and they were struggling.

 
but the question when and with how much effort and possibly even on which side the US (albeit very very unlikely, there were people who idolized the way hitler lead germany in the US, and it is still like this) would have entered the war was answered when japan attacked the US.

the war was already fully underway for over two years if i remember correctly without the US being officially "in" it.
 
No I left them out because once again they had their own problems to deal with, including Nazi invasion, and there is no way that the USSR alone could have defeated the Nazi war machine.

The U.S.A. isn't the sole reason for the ending of WOII. Given increasing Soviet industrial capacities, it is highly unlikely

that the mismanaged German war industry could have produced enough

material to overwhelm the U.S.S.R.

You can sketch many possible situations, but leaving out the USSR is silly.
 
You stated in your previous post that WWII was caused by Japan joining the axis and that you thought it was funny someone thought WWII was with Europe and figured it was mostly in Asia. Both of those are flawed and grossly oversimplified statements.

1. strongest military/most nukes

2. most stable democratic government the world has ever seen

3. 2nd? largest economy in the world after china

so while rednecks do give us a bad rep that people are arrogant/cocky about our nation, the evidence is present to cement their point.
 
That's patently false. The USSR had turned the tide against Nazi Germany already at the Battle of Moscow and again at the Battle of Stalingrad several years before the Americans joined the European theatre.
 
I love that this turned into who was the determining factor in ending WW2. Russia an the US are like frenemies. Its fun to say we dont like each other but in reality we are buds. Or at least we respect each other enough and have for a long time not to try and seriously start shit with one another.

 
You're wrong. It has the highest amount of soldiers who can be ready to fight in 24 hours and you're looking in the wrong places for prices. Better than at least 40% of America, with the south and all the weird, nowhere states.

Umm..what? The U.S. first entered Europe in July 1943 in the invasion of Sicily, while the Battle of Stalingrad was from July 1942 and ended February 1943. Hardly "a few years". And I would say the Battle of Moscow and Stalingrad were both great victories for Russia but it wasn't until Kursk that they began pressing their advantage.
