Now first of all, i'm a hard core newschooler just like everybody else.

Now to business. Why is there such a dislike to the sport of skiboarding and all skiboarders?? I mean riding ski boards means no powder, but the 1260 is not much better for powder!! Also with the shorter length landing big tricks is harder as there is less stability. And yes spinning would be easier on ski boards but there arn't alot of skiboarders pulling 1260s and 1440s on a regular basis if at all.

yes they do look gay but so does a one-piece jump suit and 215cm driftwood. So why the hate for the sport and skiboarders?

 
we hate it because people link it to our sport and it drags us down to their level, have you ever watched a skiboarder, they look so fucking stupid i dont want to be associated with those sort of people, its also rivalry, but its so one sided, we hate them and they want to be like us but are too fucking unco.

Why i hate skiboarding

1. ski-boarders think that they are cooler than me because they skiboard and I ski.

2. most of the skiboarders i know switched to it from skiing because they didn't want to be made fun of by snowboarders.

3.skiboarding is easy as shit, my friend who had no experience on the snow, or even rollerblading for that matter was skiboarding down black diamonds in one day.

4. if you wanna be a fruit-booter, that's fine, just stay the fuck out of my way.

5. 'dude, the kid just jumped up in the air and did a 360 like a fucking jewish ballerina, he's so cool' *give me a fucking break.

If any skiboarders in washington think they can go bigger than me, please message me and we'll met up when ski season starts and i will make you my bitch.

There's definitely a limit on how big you can go on those things, they're a lot harder to go fast on than skis, and for some reason everyone always seems very squirrely in the air on them... and it's like rollerblading.

As far as male cheerleaders, one of the football coaches at my school (and were not some sissy school, football team was ranked 3rd in the nation this year) anyway... he was a male cheerleader in college, and he remarked on how they'd go to camp or competitions in hawaii, and how the guy girl ratio was 1:4, and a lot of those guys were gay, so he ended up getting a lot of action for the two weeks they were there. I guess it's still pretty gay, but he got his out of it.

i skiboarded. it sucks. it's squirelly, looks gay, landings suck, it's hard to go as big, not as stable. it just isn't as fun. I left skiing for skiboarding, then when I finally put skis back on (first pair of twin tips) it felt like coming home. skiboarding just bites.

 
skiboarding is the equivilent to elton john on skis. anyone who takes ski boarding seriously or calls themselves a hardcore newschooler should be raped. do we really need to ask ourselves why there is soo much hate towards it...it's just retarded.

The first time i went skiing i hated it. I sucked at it. Then i saw skiboards. I thought they looked fun but i didnt get to try them until the next year. So i got some and they were great for learning. The first day i was going down black diamonds and going off jumps. This year i bought twin tips. I was going twice as big as on my skiboards. Twin tips are way better. Skiboards are just good for learning.

 
First off, you can ski 1260's in pow if yor not a pussy. You might have to work a little harder, but since when was skiing suposed to be easy.

Second, skiboards should have never been made. I was working on this rail and some fuck on skiboards came up and told me that I sucked because i kept eating shit. Which hey I might suck but give me a pair of oversized ski boots and I am sure I can slide any rail.

If you want to skiboard thats fine but keep your fucking mouth shut until you put on a pair of skis.

 
1260s are not skis unless your 4'5' tall. real skis are 180 or bigger.

1260s are not skiable in powder, unless you know how to ski but dont have the balls to charge it.

skiboarding is gay, but it is gravitating towards skiing, all the skiboarding pros are on skis and killing it. no sense in talking smack on it, just forget about it, and be impressed by the talent that its brought to skiing.(ie. eric pollard, mike wilson, peter miterdorpher, and the rest of the sick transplants)

dont hate just ski for yourself and have fun.

skiboarding is dumb cuz everyone who does it thinks their so cool and stuff cuz they skiboard. and then they pull a 360 thinking their hott shit. its annoying. half skiboarders suck anyways. if i see a skiboarder pulling something cool, i like it. but not too many skiboarders are doing stuff. just being gay in the park.

i guess there are some chill skiboarders out there who can also pull so rad shit...... now the other end of the spectrum is some fuckin idiot flayling his arms all over going down the middle of the pipe yelling obscene words. i have only seen the second one i described. now i dunno where im getting to, but i don't want ppl thinking they are a part of our sport because they wear two sticks on their feet. i dunno........... im just rambling on as things come to my mind............ ill stop now.

i dont like snoolerblading because it links are sport with rollerbladers ,i dont like it when snowboarders or anybody who boards judge us for what we love.

i predict in year 2010 there will be no snowboarders and all freeskiers ,why?

before i start i do think skiboarders are gay. but, since when have you not done something b\c it's easier? i mean, if you were told to read either Macbeth or dr. suess, most of you would choose dr. suess b\c it's easier. so please, dont use the 'skiboardings gay b\c it's easier' arguement. skiboarding's gay b/c you dont go as big or fast. and the only people who do it now-a-days are little 10 yr olds who think they're the shit.

And thats the bottom line. mistys my ass. Skiings revolution came from 4 people. Jf Cusson, Jp Auclair, Vincent Dorian and Mike Douglas. The first misty flip (by mike douglas) came from watching snowboarders, not skiboarders. The entire thing was sparked by skiers with skill trying new things or old things (of which the old came from snowboarding).

Just clear that little literary catastrophe up.

Skiboarders have no style? I see alot more skiers with out style. I know some one that skiboarded and he could 1080 saftey over 50 foot table and when he would spin he would allways with a grab, thats what most people dont see. Most people see other people that think they are god cuse they can 360 on skiboarders. There are just as many people that think they are great cuse they can do a 360 on skis. I dont understand why people dont like skibarders its harder to do then skiing, i have done both. I ski now and my 2nd day I was allmost pulling 7s and by my 3rd day I had done underflips and back flips. On skiboards it took me like 2 years to try and do those tricks. All im trying to say hear is that there is no reson to hate skiboards or any one if they dont want to progress then let them stay where they are.

haha funny how the thread subject is like 'why so much anger' and its just caused MORE hatred towards skiboarding... if NOBODY mentions skiboarding in the first place, no1 will bash it half as much. best solution is stay in dark corners and let the majority win.

i dont like them because they think theyre as cool as skiers, and they're so unstable and squirly looking when they snoowlerblade their way down the hill. there are some guys who can do some crazy stuff on skiblades, but most are just annoying and get in the way.
