Why a quack doesn't Echo

When I logged out yesterday I saw this useless fact, ' A duck's quack doesn't echo anywhere and no one knows why'???...WTF!!! Does anyone have anymore information on this because....its.....its mindboggleing!!

Would a Goose work???? Cause Ducks scare me....Lol thats a good idea though if i ever become a scientist ill do that and if it suceeds ill call it like the alpentalik effect or theory or some crap like that.
