I would not say hate Americans, but hate those news reporters is fine. The coach did a great job at coming back and making the commentators feel dumb.
 
How is talent wasted on football? It's the most popular sport in the country and they make millions.

Do you really think these top athletes are going to give all that up and play a sport that gets very little exposure and nobody in this country gives a shit about?
 
Well the Dutch coach threw the first few punches but then the news anchor just took it too far. Everyone in that video made themselves into an idiot, but the news anchor more than the rest.
 
well look how many americnas are in the olympics. They gave the second most people.This is the only reason america is on top.
 
One could say this, but that's very opinionated. It is most everyones instinct to be patriotic for the country they developed in. We as Americans have been brought up in the sense that we do everything* better, its mostly the American medias fault I believe. Times have changed, and so has our beliefs. We once stood for something more.

When your country puts all its athletic talent into an obscure sport that brings exactly zero to your country, but allows your country to shine on the international stage for 1 week every 4 years, you should get your 15 miutes of attention. good for them.

Now that week is over, we will all go back to forgetting the difference between the dutch, the netherlands, denmark, and the dutch. Thanks for popping your head up. we'll see you in 2018.

Mean while here in america, being a professional athlete is an actual profession. not only that, but its one of the most lucrative professions possible. Sorry for creating a way for the best athletes in our country to make a carreer for themselves.

netherlands talking shit is akin to a dude shit talking Tom Brady after beating him in a football arcade game. Yes, the dude just won, albeit in a lesser contest. yes he gets to celebrate that win. But Tom is still gonna go home to his mansion(military/industrial/economic juggernaut of a country), take off his super bowl rings(World war victories), and fuck his supermodel wife(3 of the top 5 most lucrative sports leagues in the world).
 
Also, I find it ironic this Dutch bitch is talking shit about American athletics and football considering that if speed skating was not an Olympic sport, the Netherlands would have zero medals. It's great they found their niche and have risen to the top, but he can go fuck himself.
 
I just going to go out on a limb here, but if speed skating wasn't an olympic sport, well then maybe they wouldn't train for it so much. Actually never mind that's a stupid thought, you're right, they'd probably put a bunch of effort into speed skating and nothing else and then get zero medals!

I'm not bashing murica', you guys have an amazing country! Some of us other countries are simply stating that you guys are like that 'one friend'. That one friend who must always be right and always do things their way, and if another friend suggests they might be wrong or something can be done another way...Well nope, they're never wrong! and they'll get all up in you're business until you just say they're right and they're the best, but really what they're saying is "fuck it, i'll let this dumbass think he's almighty and correct so he shuts up.".

Then, when so called 'know-it-all" friend isn't around, people are hesitant to invite them out because they want to keep it relaxed and not turn everything into a super competitive competition.

Another comparison is that 'one guy in class'. You know, like when the teacher asks a question such as, "does anyone know the square root of 64?". Murica' will shoot their hand to the ceiling and blurb out "IT'S EIGHT!!!11!!1! THATS THE ANSWER!! DID YOU HEAR ME?! THE SQUARE ROOT OF 64 IS 8!!!". The thing is, everyone else knows the answer, but they don't feel the incessant need to make sure everyone else knows they know the answer.

But, Murica' is also great because it's like that "one friend", you know? The one friend who is loaded and has nice shit at his house? So you invite all your friends to head over to his house to play with his shit? There are some great things about Murica'! like previously posted, those training facilities! Thanks guys.

Wow that dutch coach deserves a medal. Those reporters were assholes. GDP per capita would be another story, and let's not even involve national debt.

Hell if we do medals per capita, Norway and the Netherlands dominate the world in winter sports.
