Whose got better Snow: Lutsen v. Indian Head??

Going on a road trip next weekend (20th-23rd) and was planning on heading north to Lutsen and spending a day at Spirit Mountain. OR heading east to Indianhead and popping into WhiteCaps for a bit??

Any recommendations on snow conditions and terrain open???
 
Sweet thread, thanks for posting it. (+k) A lot of good comparison between the two. Sounds like we are going to head up towards lutsen. Snow report is showing more open runs.
 
As far as snow, Spirit's is gonna be horrible because we got rained on this weekend Indianhead probably did too. I don't know if the rain made it as far up the shore as Lutsen, it might've been spared though.
 
indianhead always gets lots of snow but lutsen has much better terrain and usually has decent snow too. ha id go with lutsen but i may be biased because ive been to indianhead many more times and it's gotten old.
 
the weather channel has this feature now where you can view yesterdays weather and snow/rain totals. looks like lutsen got 1/25 of an inch of rain and a very small amount of snow. i dont think that much rain would do much.

also that winter storm thats dumping on the pnw may come through the midwest... fingers crossed!!
 
thanks for the tips! indianheads website isn't showing a lot of open terrain either, might have to wait for that next storm to roll through
