lil wayne is so glorified for his lyrics im sick of hearing hes the "best rapper alive" and if you acutally listen to his lyrics they make no sense at all, and people who like him for his beats, they arent his. also in mr carter jay-z's part is 100 times better than waynes and his voice is winy and hes arrogant

best rapper? gotta say nasty nas or gza the genius. some of that carter tre is HARD though.
 
you can't put a label on one rapper to be the greatest in the world but definately a few obvious one are nas, jigga, biggie,tupac, gza, i could go on but you get the picture
 
how don't they make sense? his lyrics are just a bunch of metaphors and a slew of other literary techniques. they don't mean much, they aren't about things like nas or gza raps about, but he's still speaking in mostly coherent terms, you just gotta put together what he's saying.

 
he just says random words and puts them together to rhyme theres nothing to his lyrics, they dont have a story or a deeper meaning for example upgrade u remix (first thing i thought of)

LINE: Put a motherfucker on ice like the MAPLE LEAVES

INTERPRETATION: When a person is dead, you put them on ice so their body doesn't rot.

LINE: That's a hockey team and I ain't on no hockey team

INTERPRETATION: The Toronto Maple Leaves are a hockey team, who play on ice, as he states. He Isn't on a hockey team, but as the next line states, he's still a champion.

LINE: I'm a champion, where's the fucking ROCKY THEME

INTERPRETATION: Rocky, the boxer, is a champion, who has a theme song.

LINE: Damn, rest in peace Apollo Creed

INTERPRETATION: Apollo Creed was a boxer in the aforementioned ROCKY movie, who died after being beaten badly by some huge ass dude.

LINE: I'm a monster, everyday is halloween

INTERPRETATION: It's a random line, he is saying that he is monsterous, an adjective to describe himself/style, and monsters come out on halloween, hence the "everyday is halloween"

After reading all that, try and explain to me again how that verse doesn't make any sense.
