its dumping in PC right now...and has been all night/day

NOAH said (noah weather that is) something like 15" expected in the cottonwood area

so who's riding this week/weekend....brighton rails or urban

it's NOAA - national oceanic and atmospheric administration. and i would be if i weren't 3 months out of ACL reconstruction. this early season would be sick any other year...right now it's just pissing me off.

and thus begins my months of hiding from the SG and all the gloating threads of people who live where it's snowing.

your right, NOAA, sorry about that

sorry if it came off as gloating, i wasn't meaning too....although its so sick that its snowing

i hiked up a ways, with my skis. i was in about 5 inches of snow the entire time. Above treeline there was a lot more though. i was going to summit this mountain and then ski, but about 600 feet short of the top and random bolt of lightening struck the summit and scared the shit out of me, so i retreated to the woods. its been dumping for the last couple days up about above 7500 so I think i will ski this weekend. I love montana

skied last night- hiked up to the half pipe, which for what whatever reason collected alot of snow. and im skiing tonight- it snowed quite a bit more today, so i will hopefully actually get some decent runs in. skiing in september- gotta love it.

Heck yeah, loveland pass got 18" + in the past few days and its supposed to get another 9+ tonight. Breaking out the rock pow boards for tommorrows first tracks..

im going up on sunday to take senior pictures but my ankle is fucked from soccer so if its better by then, i will ski, if not, i will look at other people skiing.

i wont be skiing for another 2.5(absolute best case scenario but 95% chance wont happen) to 3 months.(more realistic)

...just got back from a sesh at brighton. jewlian, you need to come and snag some pictures quick cause we got some ill features set up there now. tomorrow is an even iller sesh yo!

sacajawea, in the bridgers

also went up hyalite tonight, just to check out the snow. probably about 6 inches just south of the reservoir. It looks like winter up there. tons of snow in the trees

That's super sketch until it fills in, at which point you need a snowmobile to ride the 7 miles to the bottom of it. If you're going to do early season up there park at the Frazier Lake turnout and go straight up and over the hill. It's a little over a mile hike before you get to the basin, and you end up standing right at the top of a super nice north facing run. Once they get about 18-24" up there that's where I'll be skiing until my car won't go there anymore.

nice, ya i have heard good things about frazier in the winter if you have sled. how much snow do you think is up there now? 12-14 inches? it really doesn't matter though, because its warming up like crazy this week.

I don't think there's that much snow up there. I'm not going to make a guess though, because then I might look like an ass. There will usually be about 50% more snow at Frazier than there is on the road early season (in my experience). If there's 18" on the ground or it's been windy, you're good to go up there.

Brighton sesh tommorrow is gonna be EPIC

Set up now is a 15 ft flat box connected to a 35 long flat down flat with an extra down rail at the end...

a 50-60 ft rail stunt pole

ummmm Utah is sick, 4 days on snow already
