Whos ridden the Amtrak?????

Me and my buddies are going from Chicago to Denver this comming week and i want to know how the security is for checking bags. Do they xray them? Do they only xray both checked bags and carry on bags? Reason i want to know is cause im bringin my piece and an 1/8 for skiing. Do any of you NSers have any expierence with this?

 
when i rode it probly 5 or 6 years ago they didnt check shit. i dont really know about these days since security has really buckled down. plus i live in MT and who the fuck wants to bomb MT. if you are in big cities i wouldnt doubt some sort of security check. put your piece in your pocket and your weed or else triple bag it and put into a full shampoo container
 
nice so im fine if i throw it in with my checked bags? Ill stuff it down in my ski boot. ahahah. anyone else w/ expierence.

 
yeah i've ridden it and no i havent had any problems with security and what-not. 'course, i wasnt packin' either...
 
taken it out west from Chicago a few times. You shouldn't have a problem, they never looked in my carry on bags or said anything when we broke out a 30 pack pulling out of the station.
 
I rode it last year from Mass to NEw York and they didnt check ANYTHING, but i did get on at a small town stop. I cant remember if they checked me on the way home. I say u just keep that shit on your body
 
last time i took the train waa in '04, post 9/11...i used to take the train from washington dc to NYC and back every other week.... no screening whatsoever...hell, probably the best way to transport drugs come to think of it
