Of all the luxury fashion houses to get into skiing, Prada makes the most sense by far. They've been making highly technical and excellent quality outerwear for professional boat races (Americas Cup) for a long ass time and their outerwear for snow sports goes back to the late 90's if not earlier. I own a Prada Sport jacket from the year 2000 and it's easily the best article of clothing I have.

In addition, Prada is one of the only houses left that is actually managed by someone from the Prada family as opposed to being owned by a massive conglomerate like Louis Vuitton and others. At one point most of these brands were family businesses, that's not the case anymore. Add on the fact that they are active in promoting all kinds of cool new artists in various mediums and also have never really just plastered a monogram on something and called it good like their competitors. They make extremely nice (albeit pricey) clothes and ultimately, you get what you pay for no matter how you slice it.

Overall, and this is a spicy hot take, Prada is indeed core.

I'm down with Gilson, I've seen them do rail jams which is neat and a cornerstone of the skiing community. My response was more towards the countless memes I've seen shitting on Prada for making ski gear. They were doing it before most of you were born and will continue to do it better than almost anyone else into the future, I'm sure.

Prada for sure, Gilson is an evil company full of gapers and jerrys. They are trying to hypnotize the park skiers into being kooky and I've broken through their genjutsu. Even [tag=225826]@VISHNU[/tag] Has fallen for it. This has truly gone too far, if you fuck with Gilson... Its on sight.

Even if you end up being correct two years from now due to happenstance, that would be what's called 'bad process, good results,' unless you have some insider information you refuse to share with the class. You have given zero evidence outside of your shitty 14-year-old opinion about why you dislike this company and it has surpassed spam-level. If you have any serious dirt on this company you either gotta spill the beans or shut the fuck up already.

I'm saying this as someone who doesn't know fuck about Gilson and couldn't care less about them and their future.

I have to agree with Emmett here, you can dislike a company for their products but Gilson is pushing rail jams at the local level which is basically what got us to where we are now. Local rail jams were the most core thing for years. Gilson is also made in America using local materials as opposed to some random factory in China.

That onesie is core AF! In all my over 100 one piece collection, I have not one Prada. I need to score!

Both Gilson & that suit are core!

Did not expect Vishnu to unironically defend Prada with real knowledge about high end fashion, but I appreciate the insight a lot. W

Every board comes with the ability to personalize it, by adding your Badge to it. KO'D BY THE PRADA NINJA!

brands like prada are not taking away sales from core brands like nike skiing did when they were around because core skiers can't afford $4000 jackets.
