Whos hurt already??

A good tip for avoiding knee injuries. Work out your hammstrings. Appereantly because most peoples quads are so overdevelopped in comparision to their hammstrings hard impacts create a shearing motion on your acl which causes it to tear more easily, or so says my cousin that was a physical trainer for the Canadian Olympic snowboarding team for a couple of years. I've been working mine out once and a while during the last two ski seasons and that coupled with stretching I've noticed I can't take way bigger impacts with out mm knees feeling shitty.

dang. i feel so lucky compared to the people in this thread. +++vibes to anyone that cant ski because of an injury!

dooooood. i've had that before, not from skating but that shit sucks and it takes a while for it to feel right again

ankle sprain skateboarding 4 weeks ago. Tried skiing yesterday and couldnt do it. 3-4 more weeks... and its dumping in Utah where i live.

and then you slowly made it to the door and then raced around in the parking lot doing quarter miles wheelies and powerslides on every turn.

I mighta done something similar to my knee, i was on the tramp and when i landed my knee just buckled under me for some reason, it was fucked up for a while but then would get better until i fucked it up again, this happened over a year ago and its still not right, it feels tight when i sit on the tails of my skis, and the riot police fucked it up when i stormed the field at a football game this year, maybe you should see a doc that probably what i shoulda done.

Physio is probably better than a doctor.

Sounds like a small tear of the Meniscus thouhg, which if you haven't done it badly should heal. Or it could be a really minor mid lateral ligament if its more underneath the knee. Probs Meniscuc though especially if its a sharper pain when bent and has weight on it. Instead of an ache.

I was skating this four set an my friend was watching i landed a fakie 360 shove so my friend gets up an trys varial heel down the four set he sprained his ankle hes out for a mounth.

Yeah, I had my dad call this orthopedist and I think what I have now is Petellar Femoral Pain Syndrome...I forgot to put in here that my kneecap "clicks" every time I extend my leg. So I guess that's what the drilly is... its getting better, except the click isn't really going away... Also it sounds like this is a chronic condition, so I'm really not stoked at all. Hopefully another week or so of rest should make it better, and hopefully it just causes pain and discomfort, but wont stop me from skiing, cause its not like I can be taking breaks like this once the season starts.
