I heard the jumps are like 20 ft cuz they dont have snow, not even going to be worth going to. I cancelled my hotel.
 
i doubt it... utah has been getting pounded with a storm and the same storm came up from big bear... they might be a little smaller then usual but there's no way there only 20ft.

Also they got snow last night, and another storm in on Wednesday Morning, so the jumps should be gettin bigger.

We've got a rail jam with a $1,500 dollar purse, at

Mt. Baldy on Saint Patricks Day. Jagermeister, will be there, bands, and dj's,,, hopefully we'll have a good amount of skiers rep'n in the comp.
 
I work at bear.. and if memory serves correct, the open will be held on the part of Park run that has set up 3 consecutive 40 footers along with the 50 footer that with recent snow has been re-groomed to launch you about 60 feet.
 
ya i was just there last weekend. the jump line on the park run was sick. i think they may even be a little bigger than he said.
 
I don't know unfortunately, since I haven't been up there since the events began. Imma try to go there tomorrow to check it out.

you people haven't been paying attention: PK is talking home a top 3 spot, you can quote me on that, he's my pick to win. if either candide or jon do it they shall be a force, other two favorites are sammy and gangier. of course we'll see who shows up.
 
i was there on the course today... while it snowed almost a foot. dope looking stuff, jumps arnt gonna make sw. 10s look pretty, so it will be dope. also, a road gap to box, and a dfdfd were set up, among other things, such as an up mexican drainpipe to tranny. it will be a good comp.
 
candide wont do it, but hunder is definitely gonna be top 3-5 and sammy and gagnier might do something to.

i just really hope that the course is smaller so its not a cab 10 fest and kruger can win with some outrageous true nose cork 9 or something.
 
If you're talking about the road gap to box, then that's Central Park. That's where they normally have their Slopestyle runs for smaller events. If they decide to have the Open there, the jumps are definitely smaller... around the 15-25 foot mark. If that's the case, it would start off with the urban style down square rail or the down-flat-down flat rail, unto the 15 footer, then 20 then 25 footer, to the road gap to box to one of three rails... the rainbow, the gateway rail, or a-frame rail...
 
If anyone cares, I went to Bear and found out the open will be held on Central Park, so the jumps will be small, but should dissuade people from spinning to win.
 
sammy and jon wont be there... jon is still going to doing a photo shoot in park city and i heard that sammy and some other pro (i forget which one) is flying in to do the same shoot
