Wondering how the different resorts are doin with the new snow, start postin how big your resorts jumps are, don't lie be honest, also say if there a step downish type of jump like alpine is currently, or a booty booty popper like i'v heard boreal is. I do realize its probably changing daily so update daily.

Does anyone have a 50+ jump yet? ok go shread it up on whatever you've got and report back!!

alpine meadows has a very small flat jump and alpine had a 25ft kind of flat one... but they are gone after that rain the jump melted.

boreal has two jumps in a row that kind of shoot you up about and are about 15 ft long but there is no where to get speed with this rain

Boreals jumps are in the 25-30ft range.

How do I know..I built them. Get a tape measure if you dont beleive me.

its very funny how everyone has such a different perception of lenght.

Eric

Alpine line now goes 25', 30', 35', 40' all stepdowns. A little icy today due to rain mix but they will get better.

^ haha thats for sure. I checked the jump line before I left and the landings were solid ice. You guys should build one table jump, the ones last year were super fun and they don't hurt as bad when you wreck. Looks like the jibs are all out too, when will those go up?...hopefully after this latest storm clears by early next week. Keep us updated!!!!

ya...today i wasnt ready to try any jumps after skiing down alpine bowl on ice. i knew the park would be just like that. but the setup looked sick.

All the jumps are built the same as last year. We haven't had a table on roo in years. We had tables in the kiddy park, maybe that's what your looking for. As for the jibs, they will be up for the weekend. Just waiting for the rain to stop so they won't fall over again.

yeah thats what I figured on the rails....I don't blame you at seeing as how there's 2" of rain expected in the next 24 hours. As for the jumps, last year during the d-structure the jump was set up like a cross between a table and a stepdown. Built like the mammoth style jumps; where the lip to the jump is dug down and then it pops you up. Also the channel gap was really fun and that was more like a table then a stepdown too. I'm not complaining I'm just making sugestions because those were 2 of the funnest jumps last year.

haha they are full of shit. go to weather.com and type alpine meadows. It'spouring rain all the way past 9000ft. that means all of tahoe. 6-8" of rain for all the mountains tonight according to the weather service. Just watch those bases dissolve.

ya ya it sucks but the snow level is sposed to go down to 6000 ft 2moro and for the few days of cerpipitation

Thats for shur it is dumping rain like hell down here it's insane. Also on the Kirkwood web page it says that they are getting snow but it is 34 degrees. I dont think so. I was there to day and it rained the entire day.

Where do you measure from, lip to begining for the landing? or some where else? because I stand on the flat area after the lip and theres no way its 25ft to the beginng of the landing.

snow cat is 26ft long. when use place the cat behind the lip and put the tiller down there is still a few ft before the knuckle infront of the blade. Like i said, get a tape measure if you dont beleive me.

Tahoe's Mountains need to grow... I wish we had a mountain that was like.. 14000 feet high...

be able to compete with Telluride and Winter Park as far as elevation is concearned, along with the fact that there will still be snow on top at least...

pity.

Chamonix should move to California lol.

Heavenly has a 60 footer and And sierra has a 45 to 50 footer - but i dont know whats going on after these storms though but it still should be the sameish

uhhh they started building the landings for the jumps on nic's but the jumps haven't started going up as of 3:30pm today(friday). but they are as close as they have ever been this season

what? i dont think so.......that bottom one doesnt look over 50 to me but i could be wrong.

Looks like they are building something big though on the other trail.

No 70 footer yet, but were working hard to get the big line up. It takes alot of snow and time to get the 60' and 70' on nick's but very soon

hairy ass?

Well then they need to stop writing stuff like that on their website.

It says Nick's has a 60' and 70' footer in the Park & Pipe report on Alpine's site.
